April reads, not including what I read on my kindle. Having them in a pile like this makes me realize just what an absolute mix of genres I read in the past couple of weeks. It's hilariously chaotic. Anyway!! May is here! I was just telling a friend it feels like a yellow month for me, the kind of month that gives you unrestrained courage. Everything is bright and vivid. May you soak up the sun and grow confidently like the plants outside this month🌻

April 24, 2025 — I haven’t been very productive this week, but I did start reading Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry. It’s one of my most anticipated reads of the year and I’m excited to dive in. Though it’s been an off week for me, I’m hoping to self study over the weekend. I’ve been itching to learn something new.

spent three hours creating a class facilitation about deleuze for my post-structuralism class !
the class went really well, and my professor complimented my discussion questions and work! i love being able to show people about philosophical topics and make it relevant and more accessible !

splurged a bit and got the Ace Attorney Anthology hehe (on sale so it wasn't *that* bad)
-> went for a walk & café with my aunt (+ photo from yesterday's donuts 🤤)
-> watched One Piece ep 104-108
-> continued playing 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim
-> continued reading Absolution, by Jeff Vandermeer
Classes start today.
Feeling a bit apprehensive because I decided to take as many classes as possible this semester, and it's going to be tough. But as much as I love studying, and as much as I worry about the future, I really really want to get closer to the finish line.
On top of my classes, I also need to come up with a research question for my master's thesis (hence the book in the picture – hoping for some inspiration). I have a few ideas, but so far, I'm not in love with any of them.
At least the weather's nice! (although we desperately need some rain...)
“That’s life. You’re always making decisions, taking paths that lead you away from the rest before you can see where they end. Maybe that’s why we as a species love stories so much. All those chances for do-overs, opportunities to live the lives we’ll never have.”
—Emily Henry, Book Lovers
Pages stained with coffee rings, thoughts blooming between lines, and light spilling into rooms where art and study meet. A life paced by paragraphs, warmed by stillness.
