But having a map would be so USEFUL for writing fics and analysing more of the culture of Slugterra, and I really think w enough time and rewatching one could make a decent map. Just...ugh, TIME. My head hurts too. So I just...avoid geography till I have the time to uncover it.

Also note that I tried to stick to canon - we all have our own theories about those three, and maybe different opinions of the vibes of those depicted above, but I attempted to keep all HC's out of the charts. they have absolutely recited the entire avatar intro together at least once, especially after they tell tad about the elementals.

I like to think that if/when Eli and Tad have to duel, they always delve as deeply into being incomprehensible to terrans as possible by speaking in quotes from the surface

E.g.

Tad: “[sigh] I miss my wife Eli. I’ll be back”

Or

Eli: “did you know you have rights? The constitution says you do”

Or just the whole “buying clothes at the soup store” argument

Note: they have both mutually agreed to never actually give away info on the sun or the sky or the surface in general. This started entirely as a slip up from Tad that Eli just doubled down on. It started out with one quote per duel until months down the line they’re both simultaneously recounting the entire eggman announcement (minus the moon) word for word in perfect harmony

Eli, for an entire year, has and no one to meme with till Tad showed up, and it's absolutely hilarious for the two of them, and hella confusing for everyone else!

Also the agreement on staying nothing about the Sky is amazing because they're going to have to fill it in with something different and leads to outlandish statements lmao

my pet peeve is I think everyone is using "filler" inaccurately.

I was rewatching the will Shane part of ROTE and I started thinking about Eli's dialogue when his dad was revealed. He specifically says "Dad, what are you-" and then gets cut off by the Goon. What was he saying there? Momentarily in so much shock he forgot about the goon's control, or didn't care about it, he tried speaking to his dad. And, I think the most likely sentence he went to instinctually in that moment was: "dad, what are you doing?" Which made me think, what was Eli wondering in that moment to ask that? And then it hit me.

for one horrific moment, he genuinely thought it was his dad who meant to point a gun at him. Before the brain kicked in and realized his dad was forced to fight him, his heart leapt to "why is my dad trying to kill me."

that's so damn sad and I'm not okay
