Percy was so distraught. He was sad, and upset. He felt like a failure for not seeing that Luke was the traitor in the first place. How could he have been so stupid?! He was sat at the usually busy and lively campfire circle, but no one but him and the smoldering fire was there. Everyone was in their cabins sleeping, remnants of the bonfire earlier that night scattered on the ground. Party streamers, silly string, and confetti. But there was no happiness here. Luckily for Percy, you were there. You’d been out on a late night walk and heard his muffled crying. You walked over and plopped yourself right next to him smiling and prying his hands away from his eyes. “I failed the camp.” He mumbled. “Oh boo hoo. It wasn’t your fault, stop making yourself the martyr. How in the Tartarus were you supposed to know our best friend was a traitor. Shit, even Chiron didn’t know and nothing gets past that dude.” You were so done with his pouting and self pitying. “Yeah but I’m a loser! Now the Ares kids hate me even more! Slender rambles

A/N: this is just a ramble about slenderman and the proxies. This is my opinion but also things I’ve noticed

Warnings: talk about fire, murder, mental illness, and being stalked

I’ve noticed that no people like ever talk about how kind slenderman is on a certain level. Look, sure he’s the scary monster but he’s been watching all of his proxies since they were kids. Little kids at that. He knew that they would snap and kill at some point. He knew that they all had bad childhoods and he knew he was going to help. After they killed he took them in. Sure he made them work for him but they’re doing about the only thing they can do because these kids have serious mental illness. And he stops them from running on the street without anyone stopping them. He keeps them tame to a certain extent. I’d like to think that he sees them as his kids. I know I’m making all these fictional murderers sound like sweeties but I’m not trying to. Just saying why I love slender. Also, in marble hornets when Tim was admitted into the ward when he was a young kid and ran into the woods, that’s probably when Slenderman found out about him. He’s been seeing him since because until he does something truly drastic, like at the end, he can’t take him in. That’s why hoodie was first to be taken in. He probably did something to have slenderman take him to the mansion and become a Proxy. These are all just headcanons of the little world in my head of what the story is. I’d like to think that he tries to give his proxies a makeshift family. A good one.
