it’s december first and the christmas vibes have stolen me already im obsessively writing a remus/sirius fic with trans remus

Sirius waking Remus up with the sweetest birthday kiss to his forehead and Remus humming in acknowledgement and letting Sirius know he's awake so now Sirius is kissing all over his face telling him happy birthday and that he loves him between each kiss and Remus scrunching his face up and giggling.

the problem with reading and writing leading to a strong vocabulary is that you tend to know the vibe of words instead of their meanings.

ok there’s really not much else to say on this one, sooo snippet!!

i am absolutely not writing this one in chronological order so they are already together in this snippet but it is a getting together fic, they start out as strangers and everything.

also this is almost entirely unedited.

Remus attempts to pick up where he left off like everything is normal. Because it is. A minor accident, that’s all it was. Standard. Run-of-the-mill. Accidents happen.

His boyfriends seem to disagree.

They’re both standing from their stools, and James is already reaching out to take his hand. Their fingertips brush, and he yanks his own back as if the touch is what burned him.

“Moony, baby, come on, let me see,” James says softly.

“I’m fine! I need to finish your drinks,” he replies, a bit snappier than he intended. He’s just…embarrassed. And stressed.

i promise they’re happy he’s just being dramatic 😭😭

One thing about Remus Lupin is that he will PINE.

I also just want to say that BRTC reached 1k hits the other day, and is only a few kudos off from 100, and i’m absolutely mind-blown that my little trans disabled Remus fic has been looked at that many times and paid a little compliment by that many individual people. I really had no expectations for this fic when I posted it. I had hopes, of course, but I didn’t expect anything to come from it, so having it get this much love is absolutely incredible. Thank you so much to everyone who’s shown interest, checked it out, given it kudos, and commented 💛💛💛

disabled remus and reformed dickhead sirius.

sirius who has to LEARN to take care of remus, to not rush off, to not assume he can physically keep up. remus who uses a cane and sirius who at first is kind of embarrassed to be seen with him in public (because of his “never show weakness” upbringing), but who also immediately glares at anyone who looks funny at remus. sirius whose boundless energy both enchants and exhausts remus, who has to learn how to take care of his boyfriend when fatigue catches up with him. sirius who is forced to learn to be comfortable with the quiet (which is actually good for him). sirius who researches remus’ conditions (chronic fatigue, arthritis, problems that the doctors still can’t diagnose) to better learn how to help him. sirius who comes with remus to his appointments, or drops him off with a kiss, depending on how he feels.

remus who can sense sirius’ embarrassment, who snaps at him for it more than once. remus who softens when he finds sirius asleep as his laptop, fifty tabs open to different medical websites and forums. remus who can see how much his boyfriend is unlearning his own prejudice, and working to take care of him. remus who has never been taken care of so fiercely and purposefully, and who loves sirius for it.

hi so we can in fact enjoy pathetic loser characters without being ableist! i looove pathetic loser remus but it’s disgusting and ableist to say he’s pathetic because he’s disabled…come on y’all, i’m so sick of this.

Honestly I love how wolfstar are both a little pathetic, but they still think the other one is so freaking cool lol

You'll see remus spilling tea all over his grandpa jumpers, complaining about chronic pain, going to bed by nine, hating on every new popular trend and sirius will remain absolutely terrified that one day moony's gonna wake up and discover he's just too cool for him.

On the other hand, sirius trips on every damn sidewalk because he insists on wearing pants too big for his size, whines every morning about his bread crusts and needs remus to kiss any paper cut he might have. And remus is still drooling all over him every step of the way.
