Shoulder Thursday!
Alternating Cable Shoulder Press:
Move the cables to the bottom of the tower and select an appropriate weight.
· Grasp the cables and hold them at shoulder height, palms facing forward. This will be your starting position.
· Keeping your head and chest up, extend through the elbow to press one side directly over head.
· After pausing at the top, return to the starting position and repeat on the opposite side.
“Over time our individual sense of identity (social mask) has been shaped into a particular pattern (template) given to us by our society. This is the feeling of exclusivity; belonging to a particular tribe, race, religion or country. If this assimilation of ‘divide and conquer’ is successful (through conformity), you cannot successfully exit this artificial matrix construct.” -Anon I mus (Spiritually Anonymous)
“Most of us go through our entire lives experiencing unnecessary, personal suffering without ever waking up to the light of our true, infinite nature. The prison that we are trapped in exists only as internal programming inside of our heads; a thought-created construct of an illusory separate person (me, myself and my story) and its false conditioning.” ~Anon I mus (Spiritually Anonymous)
“Logical, original, creative thinkers. Can become very excited about theories and ideas. Exceptionally capable and driven to turn theories into clear understandings. Highly value knowledge, competence, and logic. Quiet and reserved, hard to get to know well. Individualistic, having no interest in leading or following others.”

What each house represents in astrology
A naturally occurring alloy of gold and silver (with traces of other metals such as platinum and copper), Electrum has been known about since ancient times and was referred to as pale gold or white gold by the ancient Greeks. Occasionally, in modern times, it is known as green gold. The name comes from the Greek word Elektron, meaning a metallic substance containing silver and gold.
Electrum is a pale yellow or yellow-white in color, and is typically harder and more durable than pure gold. As a naturally occurring alloy, the ratio of gold to silver can vary greatly - the name is mostly applied to compositions between 20-80% gold and 20-80% silver (by atomic weight).
While the properties vary depending on the composition, generally speaking, Electrum has a high reflectivity, good electrical and thermal conductivity, and is ductile and malleable, with decent corrosion resistance.
Historically speaking, this alloy has been used in many coins, but, given the inexact proportions of gold and silver in different coins, it was difficult to set an exact value for Electrum currency and eventually the alloy fell out of use. Much of Electrum’s uses were similar to applications gold was used in, such as coatings, statues, and jewelry.

Work means everything to us Americans. For centuries – since, say, 1650 – we’ve believed that it builds character (punctuality, initiative, honesty, self-discipline, and so forth). We’ve also believed that the market in labour, where we go to find work, has been relatively efficient in allocating opportunities and incomes. And we’ve believed that, even if it sucks, a job gives meaning, purpose and structure to our everyday lives – at any rate, we’re pretty sure that it gets us out of bed, pays the bills, makes us feel responsible, and keeps us away from daytime TV.
These beliefs are no longer plausible. In fact, they’ve become ridiculous, because there’s not enough work to go around, and what there is of it won’t pay the bills – unless of course you’ve landed a job as a drug dealer or a Wall Street banker, becoming a gangster either way.
These days, everybody from Left to Right – from the economist Dean Baker to the social scientist Arthur C Brooks, from Bernie Sanders to Donald Trump – addresses this breakdown of the labour market by advocating ‘full employment’, as if having a job is self-evidently a good thing, no matter how dangerous, demanding or demeaning it is. But ‘full employment’ is not the way to restore our faith in hard work, or in playing by the rules, or in whatever else sounds good. The official unemployment rate in the United States is already below 6 per cent, which is pretty close to what economists used to call ‘full employment’, but income inequality hasn’t changed a bit. Shitty jobs for everyone won’t solve any social problems we now face.

Close-Grip Barbell Bench Press:
Lie back on a flat bench. Using a close grip (around shoulder width), lift the bar from the rack and hold it straight over you with your arms locked. This will be your starting position.
As you breathe in, come down slowly until you feel the bar on your middle chest. Tip:Make sure that - as opposed to a regular bench press - you keep the elbows close to the torso at all times in order to maximize triceps involvement.
After a second pause, bring the bar back to the starting position as you breathe out and push the bar using your triceps muscles. Lock your arms in the contracted position, hold for a second and then start coming down slowly again. Tip: It should take at least twice as long to go down than to come up.
Repeat the movement for the prescribed amount of repetitions.
When you are done, place the bar back in the rack.
Caution: If you are new at this exercise, it is advised that you use a spotter. If no spotter is available, then be conservative with the amount of weight used. Also, beware of letting the bar drift too far forward. You want the bar to fall on your middle chest and nowhere else.
Variations: This exercise can also be performed with an e-z bar using the inner handle as well as dumbbells, in which case the palms of the hands will be facing each other.
