When Mabel comes out to Stan, she’s really scared that he’s going to reject her and have an issue with it, so she’s emotional and asks him if he still loves and supports her and he’s just like “??? Kid I’ve been telling you all summer I’m one of the LBTGs” and then it’s her turn to be like “wait what??” because she thinks he had never mentioned a sexuality before, and it turns out Stan had been constantly telling the kids that he’s “ambidextrous” because he thought it meant the same thing as bisexual.

Highkey one of the funniest parts of Gravity Falls is how obnoxiously close they come to revealing Ford’s existence in the early seasons but never do out of just. Cosmic levels of dumb luck

Episode 1 Stan nearly catches Dipper with the journal and it’s passed off as a gag about Gold Chains for Old Men magazine. In Time Travellers Pig they go back to the Shack 30 years in the past and miss Ford opening the door on them by literal seconds. In bottomless pit Mabel gives him a set of truth teeth that make him incapable of lying and he tells the twins TO THEIR FACES that he regularly commits massive tax fraud and if they had asked him to elaborate he would’ve told them who he was impersonating. In one of the shorts Dipper and Soos find a sentient omniscient mailbox that will answer any question in the universe, and right before they can ask it who wrote the journals Mabel shows it a video of herself snorting gummy worms and it kills itself out of disgust. The entirety of Dreamscaperers is them delving into the depths of Stan’s psyche, going through his memories, all while fighting his brother’s ex-boyfriend and it somehow just. Doesn’t come up. Bill never mentions him. Their grandpa Shermie never said anything. Their parents never said anything. Either the universe was conspiring to cover it up or they are genuinely all that oblivious

STANLEY STOP YOUR GIVING FORD HEALTH ANXIETY

Based on a personal HC I have

WARNING RAMBELING ABOUT HC BELOW

So I HC that Ford, in an effort of searching a way to help Stanley, not only with his memory but also be emotionally prepared when his brother going trough reliving his past trauma- consul "the internet" for help.

He ends up reading a bunch of stories about Denentia and Dementia patients and how similar there were to Stans Memory Laps. And the more deep Ford dive in to the rabbit hole more and more he’s convince that Stanley at the very least showing signs he MIGHT have dementia in The future But Ford just put in "oh its the side effect of the memory gun" because the idea of his brother having dementia after reconnecting so soon just terrifies him

His intrusive thoughts keep berating him that "he has doomed his brother and is now watching him slowly slip away and there is nothing Ford can do - its all his fault"

Sometimes, that keeps him up at night

Ford and Dipper Headcanons

Ford is the only person to sometimes call Dipper 'Mason' (except for Dipper's parents when he's in trouble)

Dipper gave Ford a list of shows and movies he missed out on, like the Doctor Who reboot and the Lord of the Rings movies. Ford quickly figured out how to pirate this media off the internet and showed Dipper how

Ford always brings Dipper along when working with Fiddleford. Ford still feels guilty about the past and doesn't quite know how to act around him, and feels that Dipper's genuine kindness and enthusiasm is a good example to emulate

Working with Dipper forces Ford to not push himself too hard; when Dipper is tired or hungry, they both take a break. Ford finds it much easier to care about Dipper's health than his own, and notices symptoms in Dipper more quickly than in himself

The two of them spent a few days at the public library together while Ford caught up on historical events and scientific advancements. Some of their conversations there shaped Dipper's political views for the rest of his life

Ford and Mabel Headcanons

When Ford is out in the woods, he collects wildflowers, pretty rocks, and anything else Mabel might like

Ford had to drive somewhere and was nervous to drive again after 30+ years, so Mabel gave him some lessons in the golfcart. She set up cones and made him parallel park, then gave him a handmade license and a gold star sticker

They love to draw together. Ford helps Mabel with realism and she helps him "draw his feelings"

Mabel makes sure he has all the six-fingered gloves and turtleneck sweaters he could ever want

Mabel sneaks candy and notes into Ford's coat pockets (she got Stan's pickpocketing skills but uses them for good instead)

Ford taught Mabel how to use the grappling hook properly, but then had to save her when she got stuck in a tree (she's still afraid of heights)

When Ford sleeps late into the morning, Mabel saves him breakfast in the fridge so he has a third meal to eat when, inevitably, he's up late that night again

one time i was in an olive garden bathroom and my packer fell out of my shorts and this ten year old boy just looked at me with absolute terror and without thinking i said "that's what happens when you don't eat your vegetables" later i saw him eating salad at a speed no human should be capable of

i had an idea but idk its a little out there. dipper is smart, but i was like him once and i think he’d get burnt out fast. mabel has been shown to be smarter than she lets on, as well as curious and interested in the strange and unusual.

relativity falls where mabel fell into the portal and dipper had to clean up and run the shack. mabel would adventure around space & time, surprisingly making lots of friends. theres a little short comic about how mabel went to the mabel dimension and allied with them to defeat evil mabel, so i think she’d be really good at making allies wherever she goes. also i’d really like to see mabel jumping over some frog dude as she runs from the time police.

dipper would be stuck at home, trying so hard to bring her back, while running the mystery shack, trying to balance all of these things and it overwhelms him to the point where he becomes a shut in, and nearly like a cryptid or urban legend he’d read about.
