that fucking video of johnny cash knocking the wind out of bob dylan via a light tap to the chest
So, I just watched Love and Mercy last night and it was so fucking good, I literally almost cried twice, it was so upsetting but also so perfectly made. The sound design was so unique and amazing and the studio recording sessions were so lively and realistic, and the two timelines overlapping was so unique and such an interesting way of storytelling. I can literally talk about this film for hours. I went into this knowing like absolute surface level stuff about Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys and only knowing their biggest hits, so this film was really such an amazing surprise. Please go watch it if you haven't yet because it's so good and so so worth it!
I'm thinking of doing a musician biopic ranking soon once I watch some more! If you all have any biopic recommendations of any musicians, please let me know so I can watch them!
Thanks for the tag, as always! :)
1. I play acoustic/electric guitar and have played for years, although, for a while I had to stop cus I played so much I have mystic nerve damage in my arm but I'm better now! I'm healed since then though, thank God, cus that shit was excruciating
2. I love to read and write constantly and I want to get my original stories published one day
3. I love film and movies and love making videos and filmmaking
4. I am a collector and I collect all kinds of stuff like movies, books, magazines, albums, music merch, ect.
5. Back to the music thing, I was in a classic rock band that was set up by my guitar instructor (who doubled as our manager), for like about two years. We signed a contract and everything and ended up playing a bunch of local gigs and shows and toured with another local band, but I ended up quitting. I should do a little storytime post about this soon if you guys are interested in hearing. It was a crazy time for sure!

NEW MUTUAL CHAIN IDEA!!!!!
here are five things my mutuals and followers probably don't know about me:
i play guitar!! i haven't for very long, so i'm not awesome, but i'm working on it...
i LOVE to read. this is something most of my mutuals probably do know about me, but maybe not to the extent. i LOVE LOVE LOVE to read. most of my free time is spent on volunteering at the library, walking to the library, reading books, reading fanfic, reading tumblr posts about reading, and organizing books. no, i'm not exaggerating.
i'm a pastor's kid! my dad is the lead pastor at my church, and my family and i love to get involved. my church is my second family, and i stand by that.
i have four older sisters, and yes, i am the youngest. no brothers, but my oldest sister's boyfriend has five, so when we are with them, it pretty much evens out.
remember when i said how much i love to read? well, i always did, but i didn't actually start getting into fandoms or the hardcore stuff until less than a year ago! my first fandom was harry potter, so that will always hold a special place in my heart.

Okay guys, now for the debriefing. This was a social experiment to analyze all of you. I was actually recruiting all of you to see if you all would be fit to join my virtual classic rock Tumblr band, where we each play our own sections of songs by our favorite old men and then layer all of our parts together in post production to cover songs together. Who is in?

-your secret santa ā¤ļø (i'll sign with this so you know it's me!)
Hey!
My all time favorite movie ever is Whiplash (2014) about a drummer. I love it so much since I relate almost exactly with him and his experiences even tho I'm a guitarist myself. Some of my other favorite movies are Nowhere Boy, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri, the Don't Look Back Documentary and Inside Llewellyn Davis. As far as TV shows, I love the Netflix show Mindhunter.
