I still find it absolutely hilarious that you can have Anders or Merrill move in if romanced before All That Remains without checking in with Leandra.
Like, officially I figure it’s one of those “compressed Varric timescale” thing and the actual move-in was a bit less “okay, romance confirmed, start standing at the balcony anytime you’d like” but I swear it’s like
Hawke: So you know those three live-in-technically-servants I kinda sorta already had move in without asking? Leandra: What did you do Hawke: And also remember that time you eloped with an apostate without your parents’ permission and ran off to Ferelden? Leandra: What did you do??
- The protagonist is a young black man who grew up in a rough part of Oakland, probably surrounded by gangs, and still got himself educated and began fighting for justice after being wrongly accused of a crime.
-Marcus, despite everything the gang go through, is good-humoured, funny, and cares so much about his friends
- Sitara is of Indian descent
-Sitara is not sexualised
-Sitara is badass
-Horatio is also a young black man who works in a company where, according to him, only 3% of the workforce is black
-Wrench is possibly bisexual (not confirmed!)
-Wrench has a kind of face disfigurement that possibly resulted from his very troubled childhood
-Despite being so eager to destroy stuff and break things and his goofy nature, Wrench is actually seriously intelligent
-Josh is “high-functioning autistic”, and he is a genius
-Josh is never treated differently because of his autism. He is 100% a part of the gang and is never made feel left out or different
-Marcus is a good bean and calms Josh down when he has a panic attack and is always looking out for him
-Miranda is a transgender woman who is also a congresswoman and a freaking badass
- The game deals with very real topics, including
- Josh being deemed “unemployable” and “emotionally unstable” because of his autism
- Gang wars all over Oakland, including human traffickers
-The injustice of millionaires taking advantage of less well-off people
- People being literally priced out of their houses in San Fran and Oakland so they have to leave, and millionaires get to move in/ buy the plots of land, etc
-Basically the story is awesome and the characters are so diverse and so important
-It deserves all the love in the world
nothing is funnier to me than dueling for Josephine’s hand from Lord Ortano’s perspective because he admitted he didn’t know that the Inquisitor and Josephine were serious and thought it was just an affair of circumstance.
like the guy accepted the duel because he thought that the Inquisitor was just trying to get publicity and he was like “oh yeah, we can totally fight. this will really help the both of us in terms of the public eye” and thought it was just gonna be a show fight with trash talking, but nope, turns out the Inquisitor was actually trying to kill him for Josephine and he didn’t learn this until well into the duel
So just to be clear, during Trespasser the Winter Palace elven population consists of:
Briala’s spies, if Briala is still around;
Leliana’s spies;
Qunari spies;
Solas’s spies.
Maker’s breath, it’s no wonder they’re all tripping over one another’s plans.
But more importantly, can we take a moment to think about the following elven servants who undoubtedly exist:
The elf who is really, genuinely not a spy
The elf who is on all four sides at once
Now imagine them having a conversation.
You’re welcome.
