Since you tag Vat7k I suppose you know Hugo Rottewange, and I dare suspecting you ship Varigo, probably because it's allegedly "canon" (despite Kay Hayes and Anna Lencioni explicitly saying it isn't) and because there is no age-difference.
But funnily, there was. At the time Hayes (back then Ritter) and Lencioni came up with the concept, Varian was fourteen and Hugo a twenty-four years old DND OC. They were both aged-up and aged-down.
There is nothing wrong with that.
But some Vat7k obsessed, Varigo-only-truthers, the age difference is the main argument while ignoring this fact.
So, other age-difference ships should be just as valid.
I just don’t ship people with varian in general 😭 You can bring up hugo if you want but i don’t even really ship them either

Careful, that other "anon" is probably zany, very known in the tts fandom for being weird about varian and asking very pushy questions to anyone new in the fandom. It's best to block if and when you start getting weird asks :(!! Most of us in the fandom have blocked them multple times because their questions escalate into threats, slurs, and much more unfortunately.

Aside from Eugene and Raps I don’t really ship anyone within the series
I actually really liked how the writers made sure to make it known that the two really and deeply love each other, its not something i see within other shows a lot!
I Don’t think anyone in TTS is really like compatible with varian :(

Want to hear something funny: Varian is actually taller than Eugene at the same age.
Just imagine, Varian just doesn't stop growing and when he's in his 20s, he's taller than Lance and everyone has a crisis because HOW DARE the pipsqueack outgrow Eugene and Lance.
Makes me wonder a little about how the rest of the cast saw him after being in jail for all of s2
That and how quirin might feel about his son not only growing so much while he was in the amber but what he’d done!

OH MY GOSH!!! It was so cool that the artists and writers remembered that he was literally just 14 😭 seeing him basically taller than Rapunzel in season 3 was so funny!!
