What started as a warm-up sketch, turned into a set of lovingly-crafted nanobangs. I miss those silver bangs of his!
How touching.
Iconic. Btw here's a bonus yeet.

Darth Maul had like, the reverse of a spiritual enlightenment trip. Like instead of going into the woods to find inner peace, he went into the trash compactor to find mental illness.

My brain: do we ship this
something i dearly love in the past few episodes of andor, that reminds me of one of my favorite, and final, moments in the star wars (2020) run is the importance of clerks, workers, and other day to day rebels in the resistance effort
lets start with our technicians here
we don't even know much about them - just that their willful act to do their existing job in the right place, right time in the right way prevented mon mothma from immediatley being arrested during her speech, and their modest, brave tampering ensured the rebellion would come to be
and then, of course, in the ghorman arc - we have the hotel clerk. non descript, just someone on the level, who belives in the cause. in small, but vital ways, he helps cassian - but with his singular brave act of blowing open an escape route for survivors of the massacre, he ensures dozens and dozens survive
clerk courage is shown more at length in the final issue of star wars 2020, in which the gang are attempting to steal a blood sample of palpatine from his senator days to try and trigger an old force artifact to kill him. the wider moral play that happens is interesting, but the focus here is on the clerk who gives them the option at all
here, again, we see that a clerk going about their day to day job can and is VITAL to the rebel alliance. which is to say - not everyone has to run away to yavin and join the frontlines. not everyone should.
because not only is not everyone able to be a rebel soldier, engineer, intel officer, pilot, what have you, the rebel alliance NEEDS these clerks. what would've happened to the rebel alliance if those technicians hadn't sealed the door? or those survivors of the massacre had the hotel clerk not blown open the door, and whatever future they had because of it?
in real life too, not everyone is going to be at a protest or a strike or a few things more intense than that. beit accessibility, distance, or having other circumstances or responsibilities not allowing someone to be in that position. but don't let that make it seem for an instant you're useless, because clerks doing their job at the right place, right time, in the right way to do what you can, when you can.
and believing there's nothing we can do just because we're not the main characters is to give up on hope - and you don't have to be a rebel soldier to be a rebel, rebellion is a torch that can be passed along - and as we know

STAR WARS: The Clone Wars/The Bad Batch © George Lucas/ Dave Filoni/ LucasFilm/ Disney
My personal headcanon is that Tech got Echoed AKA Empire used his knowledge/experience/memories to train CXs troopers - that's why clone assassins got so good at fighting the batch - they're flash trained based on Clone Force 99 tactics. Following that headcanon of mine... CX2 was, to a degree, Tech... just as he was Crosshair, Wrecker, Hunter and Echo or more precisely... what Tech knew about his brothers and their capabilities/fighting style.
But I also believe showrunners are aiming to have Tech rescued in a different show to have another property tied tightly to Filoniverse... also to strengthen my theory - J. Corbett admitted that she loves Marvel's Winter Soldier movie - make of that what you will.
The ending of TBB s3, in my opinion, teases an idea of a show circling around rebellion in which Omega will be at least secondary/supporting character so I think they'll make her rescue her fallen brother in her own show as a minor plot point or at least a TBB cameo.
I don't care either way as long as CF99 will be properly reunited.
I was watching calisthenic tutorials but got distracted and it ended up anatomy practice e_e
And I made it Tech 'cause idk, enjoy
look I know I mentioned this a little while ago but I am fascinated with crosshair's incredibly consistent relationship with leadership vs. following. he has no will! no purpose! no direction! leave him alone and he ends up like he was on tantiss, depressed and apathetic! he is so so desperate to find meaning and direction in other people all the time. he defaults to hunter, i think, but he's also obviously capable of switching it when he wants to. to the empire, and then from there to cody and mayday, and losing them is what makes him snap. he will turn to literally anyone. defer to anyone. even omega. even when it's a terrible idea. and he hates it so much. i'd be willing to bet that's why his relationship with hunter is so consistently fraught; he wants so badly to be independent or to lead but he can't. so he lashes out at the one person he's followed his whole life.
