Literally how their first meeting went
A Quintress redraw of that iconic Princess Mononoke scene because itβs literally them, also because Dark Disciple broke me

Since he's still NOT eating; still NOT sleeping; still NOT being checked for the obvious object poking out of the left side of his head; still NOT being confirmed that he doesn't have a chip that can reactivate; still NOT being asked what happened to him in Tantiss; still NOT being asked who he tried to save on Barton 4; still NOT being given a full check-up by AZI-3; still NOT receiving individual hugs from anyone but Echo; and still NEVER being asked what Tarkin did to him on Kamino...how did bringing Crosshair to Pabu fix anything???

Loyalty is everything to Crosshair and Omega has been loyal to him from the very first moment...
The loyalty of not giving up on him when he already did
Q: To me one of the most compelling parts of your novel is Anakinβs fall and how you describe them. He falls because ofβ¦ love?

I know I can't be the first person to point this out but I think a huge part of why my brain has latched on to WinterSoldier!Tech after eps 6-7, having previously been very 'let him be dead' is, well -
CX-2 even has the murder strut going on just before he tries to drown Crosshair. And his little pause when Crosshair stops moving (or struggling?) is... not dissimilar to the end of the final fight. (Which also ends with plummeting into water!)
look I know I mentioned this a little while ago but I am fascinated with crosshair's incredibly consistent relationship with leadership vs. following. he has no will! no purpose! no direction! leave him alone and he ends up like he was on tantiss, depressed and apathetic! he is so so desperate to find meaning and direction in other people all the time. he defaults to hunter, i think, but he's also obviously capable of switching it when he wants to. to the empire, and then from there to cody and mayday, and losing them is what makes him snap. he will turn to literally anyone. defer to anyone. even omega. even when it's a terrible idea. and he hates it so much. i'd be willing to bet that's why his relationship with hunter is so consistently fraught; he wants so badly to be independent or to lead but he can't. so he lashes out at the one person he's followed his whole life.
