"Lesbian means exclusive attraction to women!"
"No, it means non-men exclusively attracted to non-men!"
"It actually means queer attraction to women!"
"Lesbian means women and nonbinary people being exclusively attracted to other women and nonbinary people!"
Lesbian is a multifaceted label that can describe many different experiences. There is no one perfect definition of lesbian that will encompass the entire diverse experiences that lesbians can have.
I'm personally a genderqueer woman who's exclusively attracted to other women, but the lesbian next to me might be a transmasc lesbian who loves all genders except for men. And the lesbian next to them might be a bigender lesbian who's both a girl and a boy, who's exclusively attracted to women. Our experiences can all be described by the term lesbian if that's how we wish to describe it, but we might define it differently based on our own experiences. And guess what?
None of our definitions are wrong, but none of our definitions will encompass every other lesbian's experiences. A word can have multiple definitions without any of the definitions being wrong. And those definitions can be very vague or very specific. Labels are made to fit us- we aren't made to fit labels.
People who may have a different experience with the lesbian label are not your enemies. People in lesbian spaces who aren't exactly like you are not your enemies. The problem comes when you try to force one singular definition on every single lesbian. THAT is harmful. Sending death threats to other lesbians because they don't have the same experience as you is harmful. Not another lesbian having a different experience from you.
my absolute favorite accents on the english language are japanese and mexican accents. they sound so good to me. yall can keep your scottish and british accents.
living in pennsyltucky as a black queer where there is absolutely no queer community (and the ones in my area tend to be racist bc, of course they are) is so irritating. there’s no one here. i don’t live near pittsburgh or philadelphia. *dramatically drags hand down window as rain pelts down from outside* i’m all alone. obi wan-community, you’re my only hope
i wish we could go back to before covid when all the normies thought fandom spaces were cringe. it was so peaceful then. we were left to our own shit and they worried about rewatching pretty little liars for the 10th time, or whatever.
NASA released the clearest pictures yet of our neighbours in the solar system
Oh and of course us

So much queer discourse is just "i like pancakes" "so you hate waffles?" Type shit
"I believe mspec lesbians are valid" "so you think lesbians just need good dick?"
"I believe trans men can identify as lesbians if they want" "so you think trans men are women?"
"I believe transandrophobia exists" "so you think transfems oppress transmascs?"
No bitch that's a whole new sentence wtf are you talking about
my dream is to go to that ‘no light’ or whatever preserve down in texas where you can see the night sky so clearly and with so much more depth bc the only thing around at night is red lights. you can see the milkyway and the number of stars fucking quadruple. i saw a video of it and started crying, i need to go to there
"we need more weird queers!!"
you start parroting TERF talking points the milisecond someone says they are a lesboy or gaygirl
you cry when mspec lesbians/gays exist
you refuse to use neopronouns or it/its, even when those are a persons only set of pronouns
you expect a-specs to experience attraction in some way (yes, that includes platonic attraction)
you exclude intersex people
you can't even accept furries.
