Zephite is an interaction fiction where you play as a once revered High Reaper who was deeply connected with death, even by your species standards. With a unique ability, and a fractured soul, perhaps they were correct when they said it was only a matter of time before you fell. When you commit one of the highest offences of your kind, your abilities are sealed and you are banished from your home realm of Zephite to Earth.

But when the Fates are blinded, and the very fabric of reality begins to unravel, so does your carefully constructed façade of humanity.

There’s a monster out there and it’s far closer than you think. But the real question is…

Is it more dangerous than the one inside your head?

Two main branches, with one only being accessible to certain types of MC’s.

Team up with those you used to command to discover who’s attempting to destroy reality as we know it.

Find out why your supposedly human best friend can’t quite look you in the eyes these days.

Take some time to find comfort and support in your adoptive sibling, Kaleb, who followed you from Zephite, and your newly adopted puppy.

Fight the corruption that threatens to overwhelm you or let it consume you.

Predetermined skills include a proficiency in combat and weapons. Other skills will be determined by the reader.

But they weren’t always like this, before you left, Zep (perhaps ironically) valued life more than anything else and they looked up to you as a friend and role model, taking delight in making you laugh. These days, they shy from your touch…after all, your touch has always had the power to destroy them.

Apathetic would be the word used most to describe Maksim. To those outside their loved ones, their remarks are chilling and cut to the bone. When you were their commander, they would openly declare you as their favourite ‘patient’ and often left little notes around for you, reminding you to take care of yourself. Reunited again, you expect the biting words to be turned on you, but you are surprised to hear the softness in their voice that is still present when they speak to you.

A certified Gentle Giant, Fynn has a very doting nature, and those he loves could be forgiven anything. Unfortunately, due to Fynn’s height, people find him rather intimidating and tend to avoid him, which he struggles with as soft intimacy and love are hugely important to him. Although it’s rare to see, Fynn can be incredibly dangerous, he has a tendency to forget his own strength when he’s angry and will do serious damage if not kept in check. Once upon a time, you were the person that he went to for comfort, the person he trusted above all else. Now, as the second-in-command, Fynn is still sweet to you, but there’s a noticeable distance between you that he seems wary to let you cross.

It was among a thousand other comments— you had only seen it briefly in passing— but you couldn’t help the chill that wracked your spine because of it. Even through the screen you could feel the malicious air exuding from those words. The omniscient air clogging your lungs as you try to fight through the emotions that rise because of the message.

You’re able to shake it off after a few moments— people on the internet are weird after all— and get back to doing your daily routine. Your attention shifting to other things; causing the message to be forgotten.

That is until a sharp rapping on your door awakens you at close to midnight; your bleary eyes barely taking in the flashing of a badge before you’re asking to come with them. Your ears barely being able to comprehend what it was they were hearing.

You were being targeted by a person that had already killed a dozen other people— all of them holding some presence online— and nothing would stop them from getting to their thirteenth; to you.

ENVER HALE. 26. trans male [he/him] the only connection Enver has to the local elementary school is that he used to go there ten years ago. now he works at the local convenience store half his time, before disappearing from the small town the other half, coming and going like the wind, and their mood seems to change just as easily.

MAX RODRIGUEZ. 42. gender-selectable [he/him, she/her, ze/zir] there are two things you know about Max; ze runs half the town, and ze loves zir twin sons, Felix and Luciano, more than anything else. it's easy to butt heads with zem as ze has an opinion on almost everything and ze doesn't seem to like admitting they were wrong about anything.

JJ Pendleton [ 17 — M — Pansexual ] — JJ is the one most people see either running away from a crime prank scene or the one sat outside the headmaster's office with a grin the size of England. He's funny, intriguing and easy to befriend however, he's hard to stick with, and often leads to trouble. Maybe that's why he's the one who most people are betting their money on, whether it's to disappear or prevail though, who knows?

[ Irish ] tall, athletic build, rosy warm tanned skin tone, bubblegum pink dyed hair (1c) — naturally dark brown — that's longer on top than on the sides and is usually styled up and out of his face, cat-like cornflower blue almond shaped eyes covered with large round glasses — currently sporting a pair of silver frames, a light smattering of freckles over the bridge of his romanesque nose with a bump on the bridge — it helps keep his glasses on his face, bow-shaped lips with a thinner upper lip — if you look closely there is a scar where a medusa piercing has been healed over, shallow dimples that only appear when he grins widely. Petra Molina [ 17 — F — Pansexual ] — as one of the only Non-British people at Green Valley, Petra brings a lot of intrigue and gossip wherever she goes — both the positive and negative kinds due to her appearance and life-style. Outwardly she never seems fazes by the whispers gathering in her shadow and she tends to keep to herself but she's a deeply passionate person as well as a loyal and protective friend, one that builds an almost perfect support system no matter what you'll go through.

[ Polish-Canadian ] small, petite frame — not much muscle and not a lot of fat, cool beige skin tone — often seen with rosy cheeks despite the weather of what she's feeling and wearing the colour black as clothing or makeup doesn't seem to wash her out paler, waist-length chestnut brown wavy hair (2c) that is usually left down and wind-swept in style with a choppy fringe that falls in a middle parting, down-turned hooded eyes, small snub nose, narrow lips with a straight cupid's bow and undefined philtrum, a singular beauty spot of the right side of her chin. Dakota Green [ 16 — F/M — Demi-sexual ] — the person who's friendly with everyone but the one no-one seems to know anything about. Not much is known about Dakota except the vast rumours that surround them and their family name — the biggest one being that the Green family are one of the founding families of the Green Valley Academic Chain. They have power and connections and might just be the key to figuring out the darker secrets surrounding Casadia Hall, you'd just have to get close enough for their walls to crumble.

[ Black-British ] average build — not particularly thin but not plump either, rich brown skin tone, shoulder-length white freshly bleach-dyed afro (4b) usually styled in two low puffs (F) or in a natural afro (M), black thin and shaped eyebrows, dark brown downturned protruding eyes — a faint scar running through the left eye the colour is so similar to their skin tone most people don't notice it at a glance, flat bridged nubian shaped nose, heart shaped full lips — upper lip thins out when they smile, a small and hard to differentiate beauty spot under the left side of their lips. Echo Edwards [ 16 — F/M/NB — Bisexual ] — Echo is the person most people wish they could be: the one most people are too scared to be. They're cool, calm and collected which a natural charm and a never-ending well of sage and though-provoking advice. Lyric Bronwin [ 16 — NB — Non-Sex-Repulsed-Asexual, Pan-romantic ] — as someone who has never liked to be kept caged, Lyric lets their rebellious nature shine through in everything they do. They're outspoke and quick to defend what they believe in — due to excellent debate skills and some tough times in a couple of foster homes. They're good at finding loopholes and giving a change of perspective, which is especially useful when you start to get tunnel-visioned and stuck on a problem. It's hard to say no to them but that doesn't mean they're easy to like — what would be for the best?

Melinda Khan, Head Master [ 47 — F ] — the current headmaster of Green Valley Connection and Boarding School, London. Her smile is serene when it isn't sharp and her presence is calm and kind when it isn't rigid and intimidating. It's hard to get a read on her and it's even harder to keep secrets from her. They only questions left are — what does she know and who's side is she on?

Geoffrey Davies, Grounds Keeper [ 52 — M ] — stand-offish and not really in a good way, he's quiet and broody and isn't afraid of 'powerful people'. He's quite the mystery as the only thing people really know of the man is his love for gardening, unfortunately he's terrifying to talk to with a pair of hedge sheers in his hands.

Noaki Bushby, House Keeper [ 39 — NB ] — in charge of looking after the house rather than its inhabitants, Naoki is as kind as they are awkward and it's blatantly obvious they're much more suited to house keeper. They have background in architecture and home decoration making them incredibly suited to the job but they're kind of scary when you can hear them coming.

Archie Novak, House Mother [ 40 — M ] — takes on the role of 'mother' with pride. He has a degree in psychology and his previous job was working in a day care facility. Archie is loving and nurturing and is a warm and welcoming presence at Casadia Hall.

Mister, House Cat [ 3+ — M ] — Ragdoll, white body with a fully chocolate brown face. No one can recall where he came from, just that his name is Mister and he's been at Casadia Hall for three years.

you are an average 25 year old… or at least you’re sure you are. By now, it would be very embarrassing to continue making being an orphan your entire personality; even though your parents did disappear when you were 12. That’s basically old news though, you’re still working on the residual trauma with your therapist.

There’s just one thing though, ever since then, you’ve gained strange… abilities. You’ve always thought they were quite unhelpful. You can never activate them consistently, even now. They only seem to appear when your emotions are quite strong.

It gets worse, though. You have a demon attached to you. And you have no idea how to get rid of it. im 22! my pronouns are they/he. this is my first interactive fiction novel. implosion at the end of the world is the final form of my first idea. it's slowly gotten sillier and sillier, from a more scarier demon possession story, to whatever this is. i hope you'll have as much fun reading as i will have writing this.
