The curse of modern fandom is that it has allowed fans to get even closer to artists, but they won't view the artists as people.

Human limits, human mistakes, human feelings, human needs, are never ascribed to artists, and when other fans rightfully point out, "hey, humans are making this, maybe don't harass them or demand they cater to your personal tastes," it gets shut down under, "uh, people who make popular mainstream things are automatically Public Figures who are also probably rich, so eat the rich and destroy artists over every perceived minor fault. <3"

Even though there's, y'know, a really big strike currently going on because those artists are very much not rich or influential or in control of the bullshit.

Hello friends! Sorry for the lack of posts lately. If you've been following me for a while now, you'll know I'm notoriously bad at social media. So bad in fact, that I have an alarm set up for it on Sundays, and I've been so overwhelmed and busy that I've been ignoring it the past few weeks. For that, I'm sorry, and I'll try to be better, but it's hard out here. Being an independent artist, really, being anyone who's not a rich white dude...it's hard to just exist, let alone thrive. Hopefully you'll stick around just a little while longer, because I still have some super cute amis to show off when I have the energy to make them. Until then, remember to hydrate, take your meds, and take care of yourselves and each other. We're all in this together, for better or worse, and we're stronger as a community.
