I’ll probably be doing this all day. (In two time zones!) Scroll on by if it drives you crazy. But it’s Greg’s birthday today. I’ve always “enjoyed” ELP, (I knew all of their albums in HS and wore out my LP of the then brand new “Love Beach” and played the cassette repeatedly in my car at top volume... “Taste of My Love” was an aphrodisiac for this HS girl) but for some reason, I grew obsessed with them during lockdown. Particularly Greg. I was fortunate enough to see him with Emerson Lake and Powell in the 80s (with both my mother and mother-in-law who were drooling over Keith, lol) I saw ELP in the 90s, and Greg with Keith later in that decade. (And Carl with ASIA and his ELP Show.) I’ve become an amateur expert and sleuth over everything Greg since March. I love every crabby look, every velvet jacket, every close-up eyelash photo and shaggy hair and bare chest picture. I love him as a beautiful child and as a handsome father and with Regina, his lovely wife. I love his sexy pictures and his pictures with his family. I love the audio files (thank you to all of you Tumblr peeps who share them!). His voice is better than chocolate. His giggles make me shiver. And oh...the gifs! No one in the universe looks as sexy with a cigarette in his mouth! He’s the most adorable racecar driver, ever. His hands, alone, make me melt into a puddle. And when he gets into his “bass face”...holy crap. I’m done. So...I’m going to try to honor him in a respectfully obsessive way, today with lots and lots and lots of pictures. In no particular order....Happy Birthday Mr Lake. I hope your family is able to have some peace on this day. I miss your voice and your face and your music. A lot.

You don’t have to add anything. No need to say something.
Just keep the memory alive. To show him &the world that his fans are here and still remember his legacy &music. All of the wonderful things he had brought to the world.
