Project 2025 Ain't Gonna Roll Out All At Once. So What We're Gonna Wanna Do Is Make Passing Each Individual

Project 2025 ain't gonna roll out all at once. So what we're gonna wanna do is make passing each individual part of it as difficult as possible, so there's less to undo once we finally get this country back on the rails.

i'm not allowed to say anything tomorrow because i'm an elections worker, but please get out and vote tomorrow! don't let poilievre win ESPECIALLY if you live in his riding (carleton- in ontario i believe)!! it would truly be so fucking funny if bro lost in his own riding. and if you live in a riding where an ndp candidate has a decent chance of winning, consider voting for them! we need more truly progressive voices in government, especially as the liberals continue to shift to the right of center!

We have 30 days until the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) laws are rescinded. This is the 50-year bedrock of American conservation. Normally, these actions take years but the administration has provided 30 days for public comment gutting clean water and clean air. Drop what you’re doing, before you make any more calls or read any more social media posts, please populate the Federal Register with dissent.

A screenshot of an infographic displaying the Alberta coat of arms at the top. The text reads: Legalizing Gender Checks on Albertan Students: A Legal Loophole Proudly Endorsed by Danielle Smith and the United Conservative Party.

Bill 29 (Sec. 2) gives the following entities the power to report your child to the Minister and demand proof of gender, regardless if the student is transgender or not, in order to be eligible to participate in gendered school sports:
a school division, a charter school, a private school, a Francophone regional authority, a public post-secondary institution, an independent academic institution
a provincial sport organization prescribed by the regulations, an entity or class of entity prescribed by the regulations.

This means if a faculty member suspects your student is transgender, regardless if they are actually transgender or not, a student can be banned from participating in certain school sports.

Bill 29 outlines a Protection From Liability (Sec. 6), meaning parents may face difficulties pursuing legal action or compensation if their child was wrongly barred from participating in a school sport or team and suffers damages as a result.

Bill 29 does not definitively state the method(s) in which a student’s proof of gender must be obtained, instead leaving it open to interpretation for the above entities’ boards to decide a policy upon. This may open up students (regardless if transgender or not), and their families, to: sexual, physical, and/or emotional abuse and harassment from peers or faculty of the above entities, ostracization; bullying, ridicule, embarrassment , defamation; false reporting.

Of 4,262,635 Albertans,12,480 Albertans aged 15 or older identify as transgender or non-binary. This is less than 0.3% of Alberta’s entire population.

There are 800,038 children enrolled in schools across Alberta; 607,123 between ECS - Grade 9. If the same 0.3% were to apply, the total of transgender children in Albertan schools would amount to fewer than 1800.

0.3% is not an epidemic. It’s 12,480 members of your community being used to scare worried parents into giving the government authority over Albertans’ privacy, autonomy and medical information.

Bill 29: The Fairness and Safety in Sport Act

Danielle Smith and the United Conservative Party are being creepy weird about children again and since this also directly targets people like me [trans people] I have opted to skip the niceties cut scene and get right down to choosing violence.

Seriously, I cannot be the only person weirded out over how creepily obsessed Danielle Smith and the United Conservative Party are over trans people. They talk more about trans people than anything else. Just in October they pushed out three anti-trans bills - the above included. For what? There's MAYBE 2000 trans kids out of the 800,000 students in the whole province. It's pretty damn insane they're trying to legalize gender checks on children at all.

Ofc, some people are waving it off saying "No! It's just for the trans kids!! >:C". Nah mate. If your kid is a slight bit too effeminate or masculine or just plainly doesn't fit the Gender Roles, you bet their ass is getting reported by faculty members acting in bad faith. Hope you aren't aiming for sport scholarships in college / university👍

Some people are also whining about trans people having "athletic advantages" again so lemme say here: I have cis friends who played girl's rugby in high school. They were VERY capable of decimating the boys. If your cis kid can't measure up against a trans kid, that's just a straight up skill issue. get good maybe? lmao

This ain't the time to take the moral high road. If Danielle Smith and the United Conservative Party want to throw the tiny 0.3% of Albertans under the bus in the name of snatching authority over kids' bodily autonomy, then yeah I Will stoop to their level and be a dick about it because that shit is unhinged freak behavior. They keep saying trans people are out to get their kids but girl... the call is coming from INSIDE THE HOUSE

Another Art From The Backlog! I'm Close To Having Not Much Else Left For The Year Besides My Drawtober

Another art from the backlog! I'm close to having not much else left for the year besides my Drawtober stuff, oh boy... ^^;

Anyways, this is a random idea I had for a while: gummy worm dragons! With a bunch of different variants. Not sure if I'll really use this "species" for anything though. Still, figured I could share it since I'm sure a few other people would love an idea like this!

And of course, feel free to just draw your own gummy worm dragons too if you want! It's not like it's specific enough to be like... one of those adoptable closed species or something. At least, I don't think so?

If you're the type who likes to have design rules for this kind of thing, just two suggestions:

Limit of two to three colors, including eye colors. Mainly just because actual gummy worms usually come in two colors on one worm, sometimes three.

No sharp edges! It's gotta be all soft and Gummy, yeah?

Otherwise go wild with the horns/wings/legs. Heck, if you have a dragon or dragon-like OC, maybe try out making a gummy worm dragon version of them or something, lol. And otherwise you can just ignore this and make your own version of a gummy worm dragon! Go forth and be creative!! \o/
