ooh, but love grows
where my rosemary goes
and nobody knows like me
It's starting to feel like spring outside but I'm over here still fully indulging in my dark queer academia era—who's with me?
Richard in secret history is so funny being like “Judy poovey is such a shallow vapid stupid druggie for doing coke in a Burger King parking lot. Unlike me, I’m intellectual and deep and mysterious and also doing coke in a Burger King parking lot”
R.I.P Henry Winter you would've loved Apple products and how they successfully led to the exponential increase in mindless consumerism
my favorite little cockroach man
the way that Dazai is portrayed by the fandom to be this super unemotional nonchalant guy and Chuuya is portrayed by the fandom to be a super emotional over the top guy with anger issues when actually Dazai is the passionate, emotional one and Chuuya is very good at keeping his emotions under wraps. I wouldn’t say they’re swapped but in basic terms how emotional they are is swapped. Not the details of it though. Honestly, mischaracterisation is one of the bsd fandom’s biggest issues but I’m not getting into all that right now.
does rereading the secret history count as classics revision because i have an exam tomorrow but all i can remember is that tiryns kind of looks like a limp dick
I wanted to make an animation based on Lenore and Annabel Lee, but I lost confidence and strength because exams are coming soon and I am preparing for them
Ehemm.... here you go anyway
Always “I love you” and never
It's so hilarious to me how in queer media that actually accurately represents queer people (adults) there's always some kind of murder or other unforgivable mistakes involved??? Like, yeah that's my favourite genre, but why is queer cinema always some kind of psychological thriller/horror, especially the old stuff. Give us a minute to BREATHE please. Someone always DIES. I can name so many examples on this I'm actually going to write a paper on it asap, because I just think it's both so funny and interesting but also disturbing.
