The late night dance
click clack, click clack, your feet make music as you twirl,
Beyond the water under the bridge, I see you dancing on the ridge.
Left right, left right
I join you beneath the waxing moon
Tonight, our night, we dance
I think everybody should like everybody.

Testing testing, 1,2,3... This blog will be a special little place where I keep my thoughts and projects that I am working on. Here is a short list of things to expect while viewing this blog: School projects, written reflections, games, silly things and images of art that I find interesting.

Super cool Chineasy character illustrations.
I like them a lot, but am admittedly a bit torn on some of them as teaching tools. Although not all chinese characters are pictographs (symbols that are drawn to look like the things they represent), some are - as easily seen above with kou, the mouth, and ren, the person.
Nu, the woman, is also a pictograph - but it’s meant to represent the entire figure of a woman, head, limbs, and torso, not just the face. If you ignore the drawing around it and just focus on the character strokes, I think you can easily see her.
If characters already have pictographic roots, I don’t think it’s entirely necessary to create new ones. Particularly when other, more complex characters may later incorporate those same pictographic roots to make a new meaning - creating new ones could unnecessarily confuse a learner.
You had me captivated, infatuated. My feelings for you are genuine. My heart took off like a rocket Moving at unimaginable speeds Soaring high in the sky At the apex of this rush, my heart exploded—showering it’s contents all over--for you to view. Beautiful and colorful words crisscross the night sky, the glowing embers slowly fading out of sight.
Darkness once again envelopes this life.
Infatuation.
Teardrops roll down my face; raindrops on a windshield in a heavy summer storm.
Puddles of my broken heart fill the ceases of my face. Pools of angst. The cold numb feeling has a grasp on my soul, I’m chilled to the core. My body trembles each time I hear those words… Echoing in my ears, like a bell that has tolled, so close it’s all I hear… Those painful words are trapped in my ears.
They're burning brighter Flames licking at my flesh The rain falls, yet the embers continue to spread to bridge I've tread Gnawing at the tethers that anchor me to this place With each passing moment I am feeling dread Taking from me everything There is a flash inside my head, as I'm laying halfway dead The first sparks came from me It was I whom lit the thread

I gave it to you
I felt as the waves of the ocean must feel when the clouds have blocked the warmth of the sun.
When I lay awake in my bed, as I close my eyes it’s thoughts of you that fill my head. My heart races and my body becomes warm. Beneath the blankets I start to squirm. You hold me close and I hold you too. Caressing your thighs softly, kissing your eyes. I drag my finger tips slowly down both your sides.
Staring deeply into your eyes, feel my hands on your cheek, as they tighten and reveal a smile.
Just close your eyes and listen to our hearts call out for each other. I hold you tightly as dawn approaches, one night in heaven and now it’s back to reality.
The best of me, I gave to you...
I stayed with you, all through the night
We danced the dance.
