You know what. The 911 writers really looked at the hardened hero trope and went, okay, here is Evan Buckley. He's gonna risk everything to save people and look good doing it, as the genre demands, but he's also going to feel every single emotion and let everyone know. He's going to cry at least once an episode. He's gonna memorize weird facts and see a therapist. He's gonna be ripped as hell but he's gonna be sort of pathetic about it. Nailed it.
