When I went to the production house for the first time, I was damn scared, but gradually I started loving that place. I would go there some prior to the designated time and would stay there till late. I was so intrigued with the full process of film making that I started to spend all my day amidst films. On reaching home too, I would go straight to the television and watch films or other series. This was not going quite well with my family. For them, it was a waste of time and the middle-class people like us, were made to work in the regular fields that could give us fair amount of money to spend our lives and not to look up to something as big as cinema.
But, inside my heart, I had decided that I will follow my passion and not the regular set norms. I wanted to be a film- maker at any cost, and so I kept working for that production company going against my parents' will. I kept telling myself that, today might be they are upset, but will be proud to me when they will see me making big in the film industry.
In the production company, my work was neither substantial and nor did they pay me well, but for the of film making, I kept on working until the day I realized that I have to get the professional training for film making.
During the final year of my college, I got to know about a short- film contest that was organized by a production house to appreciate and support the budding film makers. It took me no time to register for the contest, and that was the first time I felt like Yes!!!! I am finally close to my dream. I formed my team and began to work on the project.
Film- making is not a cakewalk, we realized this while working on our project. We put our heart and soul into the project. I spent many sleepless nights and worked tirelessly to ensure that we win.
Our team was amazing. Everyone was so co-operative and brilliant at the work allotted to him or her. I was the director of the film. The first time I said action and later, cut, I was on cloud nine. I would fall short of words if I try to describe that feeling.
With this project I got to learn so many things, the most important of which is that, film- making is a team work. We all learned to work as a team and trust me; we did a great job. We applied all our theoretical knowledge and got to experience it practically.
This whole process was like meditation to me. I was so glad that I could be part of that project. The judgment day arrived, and our film won the contest. More than me, my parents were happy. My efforts and sacrifices paid off, and everything was worth it. I couldn't thank Bradley enough.
Hey people!! I am Adrian and I am 30 years old. I live in New York with my husband Bradley. I and Bradley have been living together in New York since last 5 years and Bradley is the soul reason, why I am writing this blog. The life that I live today, I owe it to Bradley and to someone else too; you will find out who.
I am a professional film- maker and I was a teacher. You might be very confused. Let me begin from the beginning.
I am the youngest member of my family. Before moving to New York, I stayed at my paternal home with my father, mother, an elder brother and an elder sister. I was born in a middle-class household. My father was the sports teacher at a local school in our town while my mother was a homemaker.
We were born in a household that paid more emphasis on the academics. My father paid a lot of attention to our studies and me too, wanted to be a doctor and serve people, but destiny had other plans for me.
Days passed, and we kept on studying hard to get good numbers on our report cards. That was the only motto that I had at that point in time.
As I passed the high school, the desire to spend a stylish lifestyle inculcated in me and I started looking for some part time jobs. A friend of mine, whose first cousin was working for a production company, suggested me to work in the same company and I followed her advice and started working for that production company, part- time. That was the first time I realized that my heart lies in film- making.
Convincing my parents was a tough task, but I tried. I managed to convince my mother, but my father was in complete denial. He even refused to listen to my points. And finally I had to quit my job.
I took admission at a college but did not let go the dream of becoming a film maker. In my college days, I met Bradley and soon after finishing the college, I walked down the aisle with him, and we moved to New York.
Bradley knew about my inclination towards film- making and was quite supportive. My purpose of moving to New York was to study film- making at a renowned institute and to become what I was dying to be. But, as they say, nothing worth having comes easy, I had to face a lot of objections and troubles, one of which was the financial trouble.
To fund my education, Bradley started working overtime, and I became a teacher. We gathered money for my course, and then I quit my job and went to follow my dreams.
I got an admission in a renowned college where I got to learn about every aspect of film making. The institute was the dream of every person who wanted to be a film, maker. The faculty was brilliant. They taught us every single thing about the whole process, and I was regretting, why it took me so long to realize my purpose of existence. But, I also felt lucky to be the one, who actually got the chance to live her dream.
With all my heart, I learned everything about film making. I was a brilliant student according to my teachers. I was excelling at my projects, always scored well and became the favourite student of the teachers.
I got a lot of accolades for my work as a director. Our film garnered a lot of appreciation, and I started to look for a job. While searching on the internet, a name flashed in front of my eyes- "adoproductions.com", I have already heard a lot about this production company and it took me no time to decide that, this is the place where I belong. I logged on to adoproductions.com and sent my resume to them. They liked it and after following the certain guidelines and regulations I landed a job at the best company in film- making the Ado Production.
This place is like a heaven for the budding film- makers. When I first went for the interview, I was quite afraid and was unsure if I could be able to make it here, but today, I am so happy that I made a decision to work here.
The work environment here is amazing. I got to see and learn a lot here. I got a chance to work with the people who hold a great name and experience in film- making. People in this production house are so warm and humble and are always ready to teach you if you are a new comer. Not for a second, did I feel that I was a new entry. No place could be better than Ado Productions. Working here, I had made much successful mainstreams as well as short films.
I have mentioned earlier that I owe my success to Bradley and to someone; and that someone is Ado Productions.
