Practical Magic (1998), dir. Griffin Dunne
something I really adore about the harley quinn series is how we get to see a version of harley who actually uses her psychiatry degree in a way that's actually significant to the story and not just a funny fact. it's definitely used for humour a lot too, but I love in this recent season how we see her use her PHD to help Bruce Wayne of all ppl recognise he needs therapy, help King Shark with his grief, and help her and Ivy with their relationship stuff - and this is on top of her using her psychiatry knowledge for deviousness too. I feel like most on screen versions of harley treat her PHD as a footnote in her story with the joker, or mostly as a quirk in her backstory. so it's really cool that the animated series values that part of her in a way that gives the show this fantastic introspective edge where you watch her go into people's minds and understand them and help them, but the deliciously ironic subtext of that is she struggles do that for herself. anyways, I love the Harley Quinn animated series so much because it really loves and respects Harley so much 🥰

Sometimes I look in the mirror and get really startled. Like I'm a living, breathing, tangible being who doesn't exist only in my imagination and people can actually see me? I am a human being like everyone else? Holy shit.
