I hate this post so much. so many health issues and billions wasted each year from clogged arteries and disease. Don't romanticize destroying your body. Also some women do not diet for men but because they want to take care of their body. This is such a lazy take. Junk is a sad but currently necessary part of modern life where pizza and soda is more accessible than fruit and veggies. But that isnt something to want to change. In ever country where people overrely on overprocessed carbs health issues follow. Not every older person has an out of shape body. People just think old age obesity is normal and a fact of life but its a fact of junk and unhealthy eating.

Hate diet culture so much bitches will b like “don’t eat processed carbs they’re so bad for you” like and??? So what?? God did not give us grain and stone to grind it with for no reason. Bread is inevitable. Bread is food for the heart and the soul. U think I’m gonna give that up in pursuit of instagram fitness?? U think I’m gonna deny myself the simple pleasure of toast with jam so I can endlessly chase an ever-shifting standard of beauty that ultimately means nothing? In 20 years I will no longer be beautiful and in 60 my body will be vacant food for other, smaller creatures. But the taste of fresh bread? Of homemade donuts and still-warm pie? I will carry the taste on my tongue into whatever follows this life. So like. Stop telling me I should diet lmao. I’m not abt to martyr myself just to get a man to look at me.

Did nct ever make sense financially:

Did Nct Ever Make Sense Financially:

But I want to explain why though

Nct was started as a group with infinite members. The goal was to have a male akb48

Did Nct Ever Make Sense Financially:

That being said the financial success of akb48 depended on the members doing various activities OUTSIDE of the group with an emphasis on practical safe and relatively inexpensive projects= consistent returns on investment.

Also the group's success depended on the group being well, actually successful.

S.m's marketing strategy is the opposite. The group is successful just by virtue of existing, they will get million invested in them regardless.

The group at least was thought of since the early 2010s when most of their members join. We know the group did not have a name and was simply a large collection of male trainee's. The group was basically a basket to keep their trainee's inside of. Don't worry if you do not make it into xyz group you can go to Nct.

Johnny was originally going to be a member of exo and was later placed in Nct, not the first round but in a later unit nct U.

Did Nct Ever Make Sense Financially:

It's actually very odd the thought and financial process of nct. Because unlike with akb48 it was not the direct intention to have the members do other projects and have seperate careers. It is the method of s.m to have people in groups for a majority of their career and then they can do other things. Unless you are lucky.

Also akb48 built up over time. It is a very old group, whereas nct gained lots of members quickly and the direction wasn't always decided or clear.

Like Akb48, Nct or SRB14 had a more direct and connected with the public image. They were not exo who were meant to be distant to create intrigue. They all had a pretty nice and approachable personality.

"AKB48 was founded as "idols you can meet".[4]Japanese idols are entertainers/performers who appeal directly to fans for support. Close interactions between fans and idols allow idols to cultivate and maintain loyal fan followings."

You won't remember Exo having a group youtube channel with weekly vlogs or having so many varieties even though they were a smaller group. Each group has a specialized team and marketing style.

AKB48 like nct had specialized teams as well

"According to former member Misaki Iwasa, each team has its own theme. Team A represents freedom; Team B is idol-like, with cute costumes, and Team K has a strong, powerful image"

AKB48 was very successful and had their own theater which would cut down on costs. The concepts were also more down to earth, they are more a performance troupe than an idol group. The focus is on entertaining the fans

Did Nct Ever Make Sense Financially:

Nct being a boy group inside of the kpop industry had a lot of competition and also they didn't have much of a pull besides having lots of members. They still had to travel and book venues and sellout stadiums to break even. Because boy bands are made to impress and show out. Of course lots of money is spent on expensive music videos, hotels, lots of staff, appearances at awards shows, top fashion for each member. Which is fine for a small group, but when the members keep growing and growing every year eventually getting into double digits; almost half the size of AKB48 in almost 1/3rd the amount of time, how is that sustainable?

It's not.

Simply put the more employees a company gains the more they spend paying their employees. If NCT is a company and the staff and members are the employees, then almost every year their costs increased. Even when they had good years, it was offset by the fact that their money would be paying for another unit. This is why s.m ent went so long without any other groups. And when they finally made a new group they took members already in NCT.

Add in the fact that there are some artists getting paid and sitting on the bench. They cannot afford to add them into a project or promote them. They can only bet on people they know will bring in money.

If they had brand new people that would be adding more and more people to the payroll, which at this point they likely can't afford. They would need a new project with already existing employees and have them double their workload--since they are the main ones bringing in money anyway, recycle in-house music and producers, and garner outside forces investing money on this dumpster fire to create something that would be profitable for the company. Send them to America so you can rack up the prices on tickets and merch cause Koreans sure won't go for this.

And...........that's how you get super m

Did Nct Ever Make Sense Financially:

okay now I'm done.

Also one more thing, the artists are not making money off the music, they make money other ways.

Did Nct Ever Make Sense Financially:

Spotify also takes a lot from the artists

Did Nct Ever Make Sense Financially:

Please, please stop streaming (too much music fries your brain) and bulk buying(is awful for the environment). The music industry has been dead, these artists are literal slaves. Good day.

I don't think any long posts will be in my immediate future because school work is government ordained brain torture and like creative thought like I can do it, but I've been trying to be balanced with exercising more, personal, journaling, reading ect ect ect so writing really long intelligent thought out post is too much ...like I still would like to do it but I have to have energy in my soul to do it and like after like 9 my brain is like factory reset mode. I really would like to do a analysis for taeyongs new mv at least shalala had a bunch of good stuff to break down but like...literally nobody picks up on it and I dont like stressing. I wanna do fun stuff every once and awhile like tier ranking who in super m would survive in walking dead or which baddies east member they are. Also im starting to think taeyong's work is just qanon bait, like really teasing conspiracy theorists?

I Don't Think Any Long Posts Will Be In My Immediate Future Because School Work Is Government Ordained

I think they just playing with us now, but honestly whats the point like the celebs know they hint only people with understanding get it and 70 percent of people if not more are like....... lights on no one will ever be home. So like basically I'm doing it for me which means I'm my own boss mentally and I say whenever's clever. I hate rushing it makes for poor work. Like I have something in my drafts but I would like it to be good and sometimes good work takes patience

it would take a full year to put together all the sus stuff going on at sm. From the tid bit of truth that has leaked out they are trying to make it seem like a family squabble when in reality the family is trying to procure as much cash as possible sell the company then dip out never to be seen or heard from again. I feel bad for the artists who stayed out of loyalty cause sm obviously doesn't care about them. How in the world they managed to fumble one of their top artists, an ambassador for years getting to attend cruise24 is almost comical. Sm is a future documentary on industry corruption waiting to happen. It feels like the company is being run by like 12 people who dont get paid enough to care. They literally at times don't even try or if they do its so pitiful it seems like they want people to stop supporting the company and its artist it's so strange. I wonder if the company lost its favor with the Chaebols or something. Something suspicious is going on with korean ent in general though. I'll elaborate later its like 3 am rn

Also im still confused on how the enlistment blindsided them. There's something they aren't saying, then an update about not sending mail..idc that's weird, what about an update on how you literally didn't know someone had to go to the military with like a week's notice. Something just isn't right. Planning a whole comeback and that's not something they were concerned about at all. How? It doesn't make since. Why would they think he had until at least the middle of the year, what made them so sure? People dismiss the bad lying problem such a large company has. Also I am also noting how they dont really promote their artist. They spend millions on mvs and albums and then push it for a few weeks something isn't right. I get they make money off albums so why promote but that in today's fast past industry is so so small minded when there is so much money to be made with simple things like buzzfeed puppy interviews or release remixes not made by talentless people but they just..dont do it. It's odd. Very odd. Sm is weird

Like the stuff I read in these articles said by their own artists literally sound fake but it's not. They wanted to promote rover for like a week...that doesnt even make sense.

Actually the entire rover promo was weird and I'll do another post about that. Long story short it's weird that for something so highly anticipated there was little to no actual promo. Kji takes the reigns and just picks and chooses stuff he likes but that isn't a good idea. But people at s.m tbh don't really care, sure why not 40 year olds who watch Lego vids will love rover except no no they won't. He's literally painfully shy and doing stuff that he likes makes him more comfortable and that's great but at the same time they are an entertainment company all those years they cant get a coach or something for that. This company pains me.

They shelve comebacks for new groups like its nothing. While Nct has like 20 albums and 15 youtube channels but for what? There is no way in this universe nct will ever earn its keep, too many mouths to feed too many members they could be no 1 one in the world and still not break even. 7 members is hard to distribute wealth evenly even 4 member top earning groups complain about splitting money.. Then depending on the year some members may barely work at all its just so poorly thought out. Many of them don't have another career path to take some do but others dont if the group doesn't work out and they decide to Lucas them because of a scandal then what? If their family has money or a business for them to fall back on then cool but if not..even if they take the money they made and flip it they will not get the lost time back.

I was just chilling out and trying not to comment on what's going on but like I just cant this is a mess

It Would Take A Full Year To Put Together All The Sus Stuff Going On At Sm. From The Tid Bit Of Truth

And taeyong is finally getting a mini album like a year before he goes to the army.. after basically promoting his own self for years which now and days you have to. lets not pretend they aren't just giving him the solo to keep him in the company. It never fails they know if they don't give him what he wants he'll leave and he has the fanbase to do it. For some reason they never give the visuals of the group solos too young, if at all. they always wait until they are either injured severely or past their prime so they won't leave. They did the same thing with kai.

And ofc there's more to it than just that but this is enough for now

I saw this coming ten billion miles away without glasses on

people always act like analytical people be doing to much...when the reality is this world is not peaches and cream. When money is involved people get evil. I said something fishy was going on first sm trying to sell to the highest bidder before the new years even roll in. They barely promoted any of their artists latest projects, no decent interviews nothing, they are mainly focused on touring nct, pushing this huge exo comeback that they clearly didn’t even think about cause if they were smart they would have done it last year not in the middle of the year when two members could have been called to the military at any time. This company weird and I hope all the papa lee clowns understand these kpop companies/ent companies/companies period don’t care about nobody a whole baby products company was selling stuff they knew had asbestos in it to new parents for decades.

I Saw This Coming Ten Billion Miles Away Without Glasses On

S.m ent in paticular has always given me slimy gross creepy vibes simply because of how they treated certain people, no way you could treat people like garbage ignore mental health, physical health and allow kids to sign their lives away knowing you not even going to recommend them to a doctor after you’re threw with them that’s evil. It’s sad fans only see it when it’s right in front of their eyes or their idols themselves are explaining openly that they fell victim to a company’s evil. It’s not just the company it’s the fans as well they have made a bad situation even worse with their dehumanizing kpop idols treating them like parasocial barbie dolls, this ain’t life sized

I Saw This Coming Ten Billion Miles Away Without Glasses On

but it’s slowly becoming that I swear if yall could by a synthetic robot clone of these idols for the right price yall probably would.

Like something should ping when it’s socially acceptable for someone to have to apologize for having a baby and a wife. I’m sorry I don’t even have time to go into it but the yaoi boyband fanservice industry

I Saw This Coming Ten Billion Miles Away Without Glasses On

(SMAP 1980s actual babies when they came up in the industry)

pioneered by creepozoid 9000 Johnny Kitagawa

I Saw This Coming Ten Billion Miles Away Without Glasses On

Should have never prospered the way it did. For some reason Japan kind of kept it going but there was a gradual cultural acceptance of hey maybe if these boys who never got to have a childhood want to one day get married and have a family or a lover..who cares(for the most part they aren’t perfect but they are wayyy better than they used to be).  The idea is basically “As long as they keep performing and giving the fans what they love we will accept it”

Because I think in kpop the first thing you see is this the ready to be consumed and sexualized by the public product

I Saw This Coming Ten Billion Miles Away Without Glasses On

For many groups despite childhood photos and a few pictures showing that these idols that to the young fans at the time are soo mature...actually aren’t.

I Saw This Coming Ten Billion Miles Away Without Glasses On

Even early 20s 19/18 although legal in most places is scary young to be accessible to the public as a hot or sexy idol. I’ll never forget that interview where kai and baekyun were like legal but still very young and an interviewer asked them if they watched p*rn they were shocked but played along. Now and days when kids first get off of disney people usually take it easy on them and ask light questions the fact that it was considered socially acceptable for the public to have access to such private and personal information of two young men by a grown ass adult can only be understood that they weren’t just young guys they were idols, it was just the begining of what would eventually become necessary. They may not have been forced to talk about personal details but they would later be expected to be sex objects.

I Saw This Coming Ten Billion Miles Away Without Glasses On

Of course grown artists can be mature and make mature content but I think the problem comes in with the fact that the members, although fans knew them as trainee’s, they knew them and their idol persona’s as trainee’s. Very few fans probably saw them as what they were just young kids, well trained young kids but at the end of the day even in my early 20s, kids fresh out of highschool to me may as well be middle schoolers but they were seen as more than that. Immediately every member of exo became free fandom real estate. Millions of tweets, fanfics, tumblr post, youtube reactions etc they had no control over.

I Saw This Coming Ten Billion Miles Away Without Glasses On

I’m not blaming the fans many were super young themselves probably younger than the members in the group I’m just saying when you look back this situation was not a good one. They never had a chance.

I think not being able to date openly, or have kids or express themselves like normal people their age definitely took a toll. The company is at fault but the fans are basically their captors, the company is selling but the fans are buying. They had to be the perfect products.

Honestly the ideal of a boyband is really a boybrand.

I Saw This Coming Ten Billion Miles Away Without Glasses On

The goal for any dude in a boyband is to get out of it...obviously.

I Saw This Coming Ten Billion Miles Away Without Glasses On

But in kpop it’s like the fans never ever want that to happen(unless they have a dating scandal) even if they weren’t being treated right// in reality they want to go home to their families//which is normal. People act like the fact that idols are so busy they barely see their families is no big deal//its a very big deal. They are missing out on milestones, birthdays, family reunions, they loose family members. Like that’s crazy that doesn’t really register to fans.

At the end of the day fans are like the actual bosses of celebs everybody is fake nice to their boss. That’s why it’s so important to above all care about the art first, like the persona and respect the person underneath or else you will get your feelings hurt. It’s a sticky situation, yes they want their job but they also want..more than privacy..it’s not just about oh yes I’m a good fan I respect their privacy. Who wants to hide a relationship or their child or their spouse for goodness sakes it’s sick. It’s reminding me of the capital..seriously all kpop fans should watch the hunger games catching fire. The tributes constantly performing for the crowd the audience who want to see them with specific people

I Saw This Coming Ten Billion Miles Away Without Glasses On

cheering for the secret lovers not understanding they were in reality fighting for their lives. Sadly trauma bonding made some of them actually seek companionship with one another cause what other choice do they have/ but they literally had to fake a relationship or have pretend none at all if they were heavily desired. Cause the viewers want specific tributes to be together even though literally they were all suffering despite looking amazing.

I Saw This Coming Ten Billion Miles Away Without Glasses On

Seriously it’s so similar to ent industry stuff going on all over the world it’s crazy.

I Saw This Coming Ten Billion Miles Away Without Glasses On

I just feel like people only get woken up out of the illusion that any of this glitter is in fact not gold when its their group that is having issues.

vampire chronicles thoughts

Personally I don't like the racebending in the show and I feel like in an effort to be more diverse they just added in a multitude of more problematic things, like the underlying implications of two mulatto people in New orleans who would be 'free' but now are owned by a vampire master who likeable or not is still controlling them in some way and prohibiting them from true freedom.

Like if that was the intention to make it more thought provoking cool, but I wonder if they understand the audience mainly being full of people who are more excited to see hookups between the two main character than put forth much deeper thought to the dynamic between louis and lestat in a more analytical way. That is truly horror, and maybe that was the intention but in this day and time I think the fandom culture is quicker to be happy about poc's in such a popular show than think of all the problematic themes in the vampire chronicles.

I don't mean problematic in the way most people do, like they should apologize or cancel the show, no on the contrary, I am glad the show is unapologetic in a way, the burden falls more on the viewer to see the deeper message being put in the story.

I feel like personally I will just keep my own thought and character castings to myself because I'm a total perfectionist with that sort of thing. I love realms of atlantis which everybody hates, and I have a 2 billion dollar budget in my head for that book that I don't think will ever be matched by any studio. But yeah, I never even watched the show but I wanted to say this cause I do like a few of the vc's books. Lestat to me is the best character but it's like nobody can get him right, tom cruise did a good job but still not quite lestat is such a rare character that's been crafted so spectacularly I don't think a live action version in this era...could ever do him justice, it's either too masculine or too modern day pretty boy like I just can't figure out how he's supposed to look in a way that would be timeless.

Also with people confusion on why the vamps male at least regardless of all the tension never get together in that way..... I don't know I think it's artistic preference, after writing fiction myself I completely get it now. There are some stories certain things just don't happen. Like idk. I don't think it's that deep. It's' like how on some tv shows the parents never kiss but on others they do. Writers at times just write what comes to them.

Also it's very likely that anne saw lestat and louis as a different alternative version of herself and her husband, in a way, not completely, so maybe she didn't feel comfortable writing super passionate scenes like that with them.

I really don't know cause lestat did get with women...so like seriously I don't know.

That's very interesting. It's possible that she didn't want to say it or there wasn't terminology for this back then but maybe the character weren't actually into guys, weird with all the tension, but it's possible the male vamps had a more animal like dominant submissive thing going on which isn't necessarily as humans put it romantic.

(Which is another thing I think the network screwed up on but I get it seeing that they are concerned about viewership. Which is the entire reason they have a business in the first place.)

It's completely different. Which is a part of the reason why I liked the book it used predictable themes and taboo's but didn't go about it in the way you'd expect. It makes them more real to me. People are hardly ever predictable.

brown skinned boy

Brown Skinned Boy

also another commentary on the colorism and dualism in fujoshi culture. Like they need a darker melanated male to play the masculine that's all that matters. Who that is does not matter. Whatever they are going through doesn't matter. Finding out the roughest years in kji's life is when he was shipped the heaviest say everything. A masculine dark skinned athletic male in fandom circles gets passed around continuously in shipping. CONTINUOUSLY and like no. And then if one member says something colorist or rude or is just plain mean due to either people being weird, trying to make a joke or whatever, it's laughed off and normalized. It's bad enough it happens in korea. To the extent I really don't believe people understand, like it's really bad, worse than pann comments on koreaboo let on. It's inhumane the socially acceptable comments dark skinned koreans get, the treatment. The cameras show only a fraction. Then after all that poor treatment s.m changed his makeup and styling and now he's getting dehumanized via his proximity to femininity, and his body is being objectified like ten times more. It's on the same level people talk about female s symbols and they get dogged out pretty bad. Cause now his skin is lighter and more appealing to the eurocentric eye. Like it's messed up. Seriously. It's okay to say someone looks good but you'd think there'd be a little respect to go along with that for people who allegedly care about human rights and women's issues so much. It reeks of internalized misogyny. The rude comments about his body and his effeminate behavior. Also I'm not pro pity, but maybe if people see this is a problem maybe they can reflect. Nobody wants to live in a boring world, but there is levels to how terrible people can be to one another. I hope in the future we can be better and do better for one another.
