On a quiet morning, the aroma of freshly baked bread filled the street, signaling the start of a new day at your small bakery, a place you took immense pride in. For years, this bakery had been a haven where people from all around would gather to enjoy the warm, delicious pastries and bread that you carefully crafted. It was a symbol of hard work, a beacon of hope, and a destination for anyone seeking a taste of comfort amidst life's challenges.
But one day, in the blink of an eye, everything changed. The sounds of bombing began to shake the city, and it wasn’t long before the fires of war reached your neighborhood. There was no warning, no chance to escape or save what you could. Shells rained down on the district that housed your beloved bakery. You watched helplessly from a distance, unable to do anything.
Minutes passed like hours. When the noise finally subsided, and the thick smoke that blocked out the sun began to clear, you looked towards your cherished place. It was destroyed.
The walls that once protected you and brought you closer to your customers had collapsed, and the oven where you had kindled the flames of hope had turned to ash. Everything was shattered, broken, as if that place had never been a sanctuary of peace and comfort.
But the destruction wasn’t just physical. The pain in your heart was far greater than any material loss, a place filled with beautiful memories now reduced to rubble. The moments when you saw smiles on people’s faces as they savored your bread, the laughter that echoed through the bakery—those were now just memories, dissolving in the ashes of devastation.
As days went by, you tried to piece together the fragments, not just of the bakery but of yourself as well. You knew rebuilding wouldn’t be easy, and the wounds left by the war wouldn’t heal quickly. But you also knew that the hope you had infused into your bread would remain alive in your heart, even if the tables and chairs were destroyed, even if the bakery itself was gone.
The bakery may have been destroyed by war, but its spirit lives on in you, in everyone who tasted your bread, and in everyone who walked into that small place and found a slice of happiness.

I made a few mild changes to Raph and Donnie's designs, for Donnie it was just adding his trademarked bold eyebrows, for Raph I changed the messed up eye a bit and added the bandaid that was on his shell

Okay, this has spoilers for my TCV au, but I really wanted to ramble about this plot point
Okay, everyone knows Rise Splinter wasn't the best dad, right?
I feel like, out of everyone, Donnie would hold the biggest grudge over that. Especially with the car demolition derby thing happening.
But. But. Think of how pissed Donnie would be once things start piling up.
Splinter never told them about their history, or Shredder, or their powers. Sure, fine, Donnie might let that slide. Splinter thought it was fake and Shredder had been gone for 500 years.
But then the Krang invaded. Something Splinter knew could happen based on his reaction to the Krang being mentioned in the movie. Something that, like the Shredder situation, he could have told them about.
Didn't Splinter learn from the Shredder situation? Didn't he learn that he should tell his family about these kinds of things?
Now Leo is rolling around in a wheelchair and still on pain meds. Pain meds that have the normally hyped turtle drowsy and loopy. Pain meds that Donnie swears Leo doesn't need anymore but somehow the slider is still in enough pain to say he needs them.
Mikey's hands won't stop shaking and Donnie is too busy to make anti-tremor gloves at the moment. Art is Mikey's thing, it's how the turtle processes things. By drawing his trauma, he feels like he has control over it, but he can hardly draw.
Donnie himself is getting phantom sensations of Krang tentacles worming into his skin. The nightmares are terrible, and he knows his brothers get them too. He's overstimulated to the point he can't wear his Battle Shell, sometimes not even his mask, because he's fucking stressed.
And Raph is in a coma. It's been months and Raph has been damn near unresponsive.
They could have been prepared, they could have been warned, but Splinter didn't tell them anything. Yet, Leo blames himself.
That was Donnie's breaking point. All signs pointed to Splinter at fault, but it took Leo, Donnie's twin who just got out of his own damn coma blaming himself for Donnie to snap.
He'd never argued with his dad before, but before he knew it, a few questions led to shouting, which led to screaming, which led to-
"THAT'S IT- GET OUT! STAY OUT OF MY FUCKING LAB AND STAY OUT OF MY LIFE! YOU WERE HARDLY IN IT ANYWAY!"
The words are out of his mouth before Donnie can process them. The pure hurt on Splinters face has a weight settle in Donnie's gut.
But, despite it all, Donnie feels glad. Good. Let him hurt. Let him feel a fraction of the pain his kids are feeling.
Donnie starts hanging around Draxum more after that.

Little Majd needs your help
Majd Al-Habeel @youseffamily has known little of life without suffering. After losing his home to IOF bombardment, he and his parents were forced to live in a tent. This wreaked havoc on Majd’s health, as he is diagnosed with a serious respiratory illness that limits his ability to breathe. Living in a tent leaves one exposed to dust, dirt, debris, vermin, mold, fungus, and harsh weather—the worst possible environment for a child with his condition.

I've drawn the turtles as Dandy's World characters cuz my brother got me addicted to Dandy's World.....
I mostly tried to match them biased on personality, especially Glisten. I know besides the color changes the changes I made to make them look more like the turtles are their pre-movie/final episodes gear but Raph has the messed up eye from the movie, I just felt pre-movie Leo fit Glisten better and I felt it would help me make more changes than just adding the black bandaids, plus I couldn't resist giving Raph the messed up eye.......
anyways, I might make this into an actual AU and if I do I probably won't make it a whole ass story, tho I'll definitely make lore for it, but we'll see.
Also, I don't know who April should be, or frankly anyone else tbh, I'm open to suggestions tho

I am Ola Ferwana from Palestine ,Gaza. I'm a mother of 3 kids Yamen, Qusai and Mira. My husband travelled to Egypt to get medicines before 2 days of the war 7 of October on Gaza and he was stuck in Egypt until this moment.
I faced very great challenges and responsibilities of my three children in the absence of my husband, as he had traveled and the crossing was closed and we could not see each other. The amount of suffering I was feeling cannot be described as still being in the north of Gaza.I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart and a plea for urgent assistance. I have left my home and have been displaced more than 8 times with my children. I am living in the war_torn region of Gaza, facing unimaginable challenges, with lack of water, food scarcity, and constant threats to their safety.
This is our street of my house, the Israeli occupation damaged all the houses.
I have delivered a girl baby,Mira , through the war, She was 10 months old and my husband didn't see her until this moment.
Yaman was 7 years old, and his simplest dream was to complete the first grade at school, but his school was completely destroyed. He lost the most beautiful thing that he was happy with and enjoyed that he had reached this stage.
Qusai is 5 years old, and until this moment I do not have the courage to tell him that his kindergarten was also destroyed, the first place and refuge in which he was happy, but in this war he lost everything beautiful. He lost his father’s hug, which was his only refuge when he slept at night, telling him his daily story to fall asleep safety.
Mira, my daughter, who had never seen an hour or a moment devoid of fear, came into this world and was surprised by a war that destroyed many, many things. It destroyed her house and her room, which I was waiting for as I prepared and brought her all the beautiful clothes and colorful dresses she needed. She was surprised by the sound of missiles. She could not sleep because of it. My husband hopes to get a smile and a hug from her daughter Which he had been waiting for some time.
We lack of the basic human needs, no food no electricity no water. We were poisoned and infected because of the unhealthy water that we drink.
My three children and I had to be hospitalized. We suffered from liver dysfunction as a result of malnutrition, widespread diseases, and recurring infection.
During this period, I felt remorseful about how difficult it is for a mother to see her children sick and unable to treat them because she is also very sick.
The Rafah border crossing, which is the only way to escape from the war, is closed now.
I hope to provide us by giving support in order to cover the costs associated with ensuring our safe passage of Egypt through the borders. Please stand with me, we are now homeless, with absence of children needs like milk, diapers, with no food. Please help us by donation to stay a live and leave Gaza with my children.
