Thinking about Soren being the one to initiate 99% of the touching scenes we see on screen of him and Corvus. Even in season 6. There’s a handful of charged moments where Corvus lays a hand on Soren’s shoulder, but that’s about it for physical touches initiated by Corvus in S6E2.
Even when Corvus is being vulnerable and telling Soren about how he’s a good man with a big heart, Corvus is downright shocked when Soren hugs him.
Now, chances are, we all know The Podcast™️ Jesse Inocalla was on where he discusses the theme of acceptance in Love, War, and Mushrooms (If you haven’t heard about this, do yourself a favor and listen to it ASAP. As a person who doesn’t usually do podcasts, it’s very worth it).
Basically, Jesse argues that in the episode Corvus accepts that he genuinely cares for Soren, in whatever manner that may be. Platonic, romantic, what have you. Corvus sees Soren for all that he is, not just the facets of his personality most others see him for.
I think it’s interesting how after S6E2, the next time we will really see them together will be what we can assume is S7E1. We left S6E2 with Corvus slowly accepting a hug from Soren (and of course there’s also The Look™️ and going into the meeting room together in S6E4, but I digress). Now, in S7E1, Corvus appears to be initiating their reunion.
And I feel like it has a lot to do with his realization in the mushroom forest that Soren is important to him.
something i adore about mismag2 is how aabria has repurposed the never stop blowing up system’s potential for insanely high rolls to have a completely different tone. in action hero land, the busted rolls were comedic and unbelievable. they switched on looney tunes laws of physics and made the players laugh at the absurdity. in mismag, with the process of breaking their items to push and succeed, in the intensity of stakes and consequences that aabria is so keyed into, rolling a 100 feels not stupid or ridiculous, but awe-inspiring. it makes you want to stand up and cheer and tear up at the feeling of magic itself. the crazy high DCs at the beginning and a blown up arm set up the weight of the miracles these people are trying to work, so that when we come to episode 10, we understand the sheer command that the characters have come to grasp over their environment. we believe that they can do the impossible, and with a bit of luck, we watch it happen. i love this world and this story so much.
The Tenth Doctor and Rose Tyler’s complex and compelling relationship gets me through my fucking DAYS BRO. The fact that, canonically, Rose Tyler’s influence was so great that she LITERALLY haunts the narrative, even nearly 25 years later. She dispersed herself through time and space — splitting beings into atoms as a literally goddess — to be with her soul mate forever.
And can we just talk about how the Doctor’s love for Rose was SO powerful that he literally regenerated into the perfect partner for her? Like legitimately MADE FOR HER. His hands fit in her perfectly and she’s the keeper of his hearts. He loses Rose? His entire UNIVERSE crumbles. The second time? He literally goes insane and changes a fixed point in time based on the delusion that the laws of time are his and he can control anything he wants, regardless of how they branch into timelines.
My brain rot goes deep, bro. I could go on for HOURS.

I love so much that the first change Jammer made to his body was to be a better height for playing pro basketball, and the second change made it impossible for him to play pro ball. And he made sure to note it was permanent. His dreams changed so hard so fast, and not only did he join Evan in the clearly not like everybody else category, he went ahead and outdid him.

I feel like Danielle is really hitting her stride with Sam this season. Like, it must be difficult to feel the same level of comfort as Aabria, Lou, Erika, and Brennan because those 4 play together all the time. But it seems like she's really letting herself/Sam be vulnerable (b/c let's be real, in an actual play it's both yours & your character's) and saying some of the most beautiful things.
I've always loved Sam & Danielle and it's really wonderful seeing them both shine this season.

Nicky was always meant to be stillborn. He was never supposed to live after birth, but Rio gave Agatha more time with him, and in turn he got more time with Agatha.
Whether it was implied or not, he was always the son of Death. He was always supposed to go home to his other mother. When Death finally beckoned him home that night, Rio wouldn’t allow him to join her until he kissed Agatha’s cheek. And he knew, instantaneously, to kiss Agatha not once, but twice.
Once from him, and once from Rio.
Though he was always meant to join Death at her side, Rio gave Agatha the chance to be his mother, too, and now I am a mess about it and will be thinking about this for a long time.

This so far has been my favourite episode and Sam and Jammer's cafeteria adventure was chef kiss.
Sometimes they are Evan and Jammer, and sometimes they are Brennan and Lou.
In this moment, they were both.
