Gang, I know it's so easy to dunk on RFK Jr's latest claims about autism by pointing to all the autistic people who are capable of the things he said we will never do, but I think the more important thing is to state unequivocally that autistic people who have 24/7 support needs in adulthood and genuinely never do those things have value and deserve to exist. Yes, autism is a spectrum that RFK Jr is oversimplifying to suit his narrative, but his narrative is that our autistic friends who struggle with those things shouldn't be like that, and that is the idea we need to push back on, more than whether you personally can write a poem or use a toilet unassisted

you should support drag kings. btw. I think it's incredibly telling that nobody knows they exist at all. "oh they weren't around" they've been around since the late 1800s/early 1900s

someone called me "divisive" for pointing out someone's binary language in a transgender-specific post, so here's a reminder:

it's people putting humanity into two gender boxes doing the dividing, not nonbinary people wanting to be seen.

it's the people separating good valid transgender men and women worth fighting for from supposedly invalid nonbinary people who aren't even worth mentioning doing the dividing, not nonbinary people pointing out systemic exclusion.

it's those excluding nonbinary who are being divisive, not nonbinary people taking up space.

most of the time calling nonbinary people divisive is absolutely ridiculous.

horror of 2024

I said screw it and started the newest episode bc I didn’t want to be left out. However I have not listened to the pervious six episodes so let’s see how this goes

I’m def not gonna be finished with these until August but it’ll be fun!!
