Apparently dating back to 2015, the almost 10 year old shitpost generator does show its age, but all the more it beautifully captures the tone and style of tumblr shitposts of the era. It's not dated, as much as it is a historical artefact.

I hate when media push the narrative to a romantic rather than a deep platonic bond...like it would be a lot BETTER if the dynamic is the latter. not every deeply personal relationship results in a romantic one..and it NEEDS to be shown in media nowadays

okay i'm too autistic about minecraft movie ideas now. can you imagine how good it would be to see alex and steve as the protagonists and them NOT having a romance arc, but having a friendship that's never contested or put down. just two best friends who need each other and would HATE to ever be forcefully separated. two best friends that complement each other. one who enjoys building more (steve) and another who's more adventurous (alex). two sides of the same coin. platonic soulmates.
