My family is officially a bunch of dicks living in the same house as me.

February 1st: What is something about Sean that you feel makes him unique as an individual?

Everything about him is unique! I’ve only been watching him since early November of last year and I already know that there’s no one else in the world that’s as giving and kind as he is. Not to mention the care and love he has for his fans and the community he’s built from nothing over the past 7 years. He’s a very one-of-a-kind person.

February 2nd: How do you feel Sean has grown as a person in the years he's been doing YouTube?

From what I’ve seen, he’s grown more comfortable with what he’s doing. He’s more sure of himself and he’s grown into just being who he is with everything he does. And throughout it all, he’s still got his energy and giving nature that makes people love him! He’s grown more self-confident and hasn’t ever turned into an egotistical bastard so he’s doing something right! :D

February 3rd: If you could spend a day with Sean, what would you want to do?

If I could spend a day with him, I’d probably want to show him some of the cool fanart and videos I’ve found. I can’t make any of that stuff but I’d like to show him some of it if he hasn’t seen it already. I’d probably also want to show him some of my favorite video games and see if he’s heard of them. I think we’d just chill, play video games and watch some yt videos.

February 4th: What is something Sean has said or done that has left an impact on you?

His charity livestreams and all the good he does has definitely made me change the way I look at things. And there’s a quote I keep seeing with pictures of him (might be a quote of his, idk), “Everything is going to be alright. Maybe not today, but eventually.” It repeats in my head and I tell it to myself whenever I have a bad day so that’s definitely changed my life for the better.

February 5th: Who is Sean to you? Friend, YouTuber, family (metaphorically), something else?

It definitely feels like he’s one of my friends and I’ve found out that he’s got the same kind of humor as me. He makes some jokes that I can imagine myself saying. He’s definitely a friend to me. :)

February 6: What friends have you made in the community? What are some fun memories with them, irl or online?

Since I’m fairly new and extremely shy, especially online, I haven’t made any friends yet. I do like to browse through fanart and fanfics though! So, I feel like part of the fandom even though I don’t usually participate in anything.

This is for all the parent’s on tumblr, who think it’s okay to control your children’s life. And by controlling your children’s life I mean going through their messages, and emails, and maybe even tumblr page, and getting mad at them for it. That, in my personal opinion, IS NOT OKAY. EVER. sure go through their video games, if you don’t like what you see stop them from playing it awesome. Go through what they record on tv. Okay that makes sense. Do not under any circumstances GO THROUGH THEIR PRIVATE STUFF.That is not okay at all. Want to know why? Because your child has their own right to do whatever they want with the privacy they have. And not only is invading their space bad, for both you and them, but they will trust you less for going through their crap. It’s called “trusting your child’ I know that is a hard concept for some of you parents but your children will love you forever for being able to trust them. Now before you say “well how do you know that you aren’t a parent” I will tell you why. My mother and father (not god) were open with me. About everything. About sex, about drugs, about life problems, my period, hormonal changes, alcohol whatever it was you name it. My parent’s allowed me to ask anything I wanted about them. And in exchange I told my parents….

The passwords to literally everything I own because I trust my parents enough not to go through my shit. 

It is not your job as a parent to be the “alpha dog” and invade your child’s privacy. It is not your job to be your child’s best friend. It is not your job to make your house a prison and your children love going to school just to get away from you. It is your job to be open with your child so in turn they will be open with you. That’s it. It is your job to raise your children right and if you are reading this right now and thinking “my child would never do that with me” then you clearly messed up somewhere. Raise your children right, not to be afraid of authority but respect it.

Helpful things for action writers to remember

Sticking a landing will royally fuck up your joints and possibly shatter your ankles, depending on how high you’re jumping/falling from. There’s a very good reason free-runners dive and roll. 

Hand-to-hand fights usually only last a matter of seconds, sometimes a few minutes. It’s exhausting work and unless you have a lot of training and history with hand-to-hand combat, you’re going to tire out really fast. 

Arrows are very effective and you can’t just yank them out without doing a lot of damage. Most of the time the head of the arrow will break off inside the body if you try pulling it out, and arrows are built to pierce deep. An arrow wound demands medical attention. 

Throwing your opponent across the room is really not all that smart. You’re giving them the chance to get up and run away. Unless you’re trying to put distance between you so you can shoot them or something, don’t throw them. 

Everyone has something called a “flinch response” when they fight. This is pretty much the brain’s way of telling you “get the fuck out of here or we’re gonna die.” Experienced fighters have trained to suppress this. Think about how long your character has been fighting. A character in a fist fight for the first time is going to take a few hits before their survival instinct kicks in and they start hitting back. A character in a fist fight for the eighth time that week is going to respond a little differently. 

ADRENALINE WORKS AGAINST YOU WHEN YOU FIGHT. THIS IS IMPORTANT. A lot of times people think that adrenaline will kick in and give you some badass fighting skills, but it’s actually the opposite. Adrenaline is what tires you out in a battle and it also affects the fighter’s efficacy - meaning it makes them shaky and inaccurate, and overall they lose about 60% of their fighting skill because their brain is focusing on not dying. Adrenaline keeps you alive, it doesn’t give you the skill to pull off a perfect roundhouse kick to the opponent’s face. 

Swords WILL bend or break if you hit something hard enough. They also dull easily and take a lot of maintenance. In reality, someone who fights with a sword would have to have to repair or replace it constantly.

Fights get messy. There’s blood and sweat everywhere, and that will make it hard to hold your weapon or get a good grip on someone. 

A serious battle also smells horrible. There’s lots of sweat, but also the smell of urine and feces. After someone dies, their bowels and bladder empty. There might also be some questionable things on the ground which can be very psychologically traumatizing. Remember to think about all of the character’s senses when they’re in a fight. Everything WILL affect them in some way. 

If your sword is sharpened down to a fine edge, the rest of the blade can’t go through the cut you make. You’ll just end up putting a tiny, shallow scratch in the surface of whatever you strike, and you could probably break your sword. 

ARCHERS ARE STRONG TOO. Have you ever drawn a bow? It takes a lot of strength, especially when you’re shooting a bow with a higher draw weight. Draw weight basically means “the amount of force you have to use to pull this sucker back enough to fire it.” To give you an idea of how that works, here’s a helpful link to tell you about finding bow sizes and draw weights for your characters.  (CLICK ME)

If an archer has to use a bow they’re not used to, it will probably throw them off a little until they’ve done a few practice shots with it and figured out its draw weight and stability. 

People bleed. If they get punched in the face, they’ll probably get a bloody nose. If they get stabbed or cut somehow, they’ll bleed accordingly. And if they’ve been fighting for a while, they’ve got a LOT of blood rushing around to provide them with oxygen. They’re going to bleed a lot.
