Bad Blood Room Conspiracy

Were Mulder and Scully actually sharing a room in Bad Blood? Mulder starts off by claiming that he “ran into Scully at the motel.” He doesn’t specify that he’s in her room (although she has a line about asking him not to get mud in her room). But somethings are definitely suspicious as he makes himself a little too comfortable in the room.

1. Mulder is hanging out in “Scully’s room” while she’s not there, decides to turn on the TV on. Obviously settling in.

2. He starts undressing in her room, dumping his clothes all over the place.

3. Mulder’s not wearing pants. It’s important to the story because he had to go into the bathroom to get his wallet, leaving Ronnie with time to untie his shoes but the timeline doesn’t make sense-

4. Scully talks to Ronnie outside the door, so Mulder either strips faster than the speed of light, OR he took off his pants and undressed while Scully was still in the room. I’m guessing it had something to do with the vibrating bed, and the fanfic writes itself.

5. Looking very comfy on Dana’s bed/room. Where did the clean pants come from? Actually Mulder looks much cleaner, did he shower there?!

6. They had caller ID on those phones, my theory- Scully thought Mulder was calling for phone sex and called him a “creep.” She wasn’t horrified by this and let it go on for a little bit before hanging up, much longer than you would normally take a butt dial- so probably not the first Mulder heavy breathing call she’s received.

7. Where did the bag of sunflower seeds come from? Seriously he just completely moved into “her” room.

So they were actually going tell this story to Skinner, at no point in time did either of them act like Mulder invading her room was odd.
