yes i have watched it and it's such a lovely movie!! it’s one of the only cevans movie directed by a woman and like?? you can tell??

i’ve seen some discussions on tiktok about how shots catering to the true “female gaze” have nothing to do with shirtlessness and obscene muscles (basically the very sexual male gaze but with the roles reversed), but it has to do with EYES and HANDS 

and JESUS CHRIST... look at this shot... the romantic lighting... the soft eye contact... the love in his gaze... i’m literally a puddle

i feel like so many of chris’ roles necessitate (or at worst, reduce him to) his physique ((which we all know is GLORIOUS 👌 right, like not denying that at all))

I finally watched The Sound of Music and like I get it now, I get it. 

It’s a beautiful two hour love story of a strict man finally opening his heart again and then a fifty minute public service announcement to hate the nazis. Brilliant.
