Paige is the best guard in the league.

can we talk about how insane paige is? like as much as i wanted aaliyah to win it bc i do think she’s been our most valuable player, paige has been so impressive especially considering the past two years.

she came off back to back injuries and major surgery. she didn’t play for 500+ days and has not had the time to develop as much as her peers simply bc she couldn’t play.

her advanced stats are INSANE!!! like how the flying fuck is she real? as a guard having that fg% and then playing in the post on defense and exerting as much energy as she is doing that. her efficiency, her shooting splits, her defense. unreal.

everything has been better than her npoy freshman season despite pretty much not playing for two years.

not to mention the immeasurables! she is the leader. how she goes, this team goes. she gives everyone confidence. she opens up the floor for everyone else, especially aaliyah. if she’s on the floor everyone just is a bit calmer and has hope they have a chance. i’m so sad that we didn’t get to see this team healthy.

i’m glad she gets to play again and we get to watch!
