What is my sisterâs fault? Why must this be her life? She doesnât remember our house. She doesnât remember her cat who was killed by the bombs. She doesnât remember feeling warm during the winter. All the good things in her life came and went before her brain could form memories. From her point of view, life has always been this genocide. Gaza has always been destroyed. Home has always been one room with no windows and infested by rodents.
Please help me provide for her. Sheâs had a high fever for the past few days and the blockade is back. The bombs are starting to drop again. This is going to be so hard and I canât do this alone.
We are so close to our final goal, please, anything can make a difference even if itâs just sharing!

This is for the kids who die, Black and white, For kids will die certainly. The old and rich will live on awhile, As always, Eating blood and gold, Letting kids die.
Kids will die in the swamps of Mississippi Organizing sharecroppers Kids will die in the streets of Chicago Organizing workers Kids will die in the orange groves of California Telling others to get together Whites and Filipinos, Negroes and Mexicans, All kinds of kids will die Who donât believe in lies, and bribes, and contentment And a lousy peace.
Of course, the wise and the learned Who pen editorials in the papers, And the gentlemen with Dr. in front of their names White and black, Who make surveys and write books Will live on weaving words to smother the kids who die, And the sleazy courts, And the bribe-reaching police, And the blood-loving generals, And the money-loving preachers Will all raise their hands against the kids who die, Beating them with laws and clubs and bayonets and bullets To frighten the people â For the kids who die are like iron in the blood of the people â And the old and rich donât want the people To taste the iron of the kids who die, Donât want the people to get wise to their own power, To believe an Angelo Herndon, or even get together
Listen, kids who die â Maybe, now, there will be no monument for you Except in our hearts Maybe your bodiesâll be lost in a swamp Or a prison grave, or the potterâs field, Or the rivers where youâre drowned like Leibknecht But the day will come â You are sure yourselves that it is coming â When the marching feet of the masses Will raise for you a living monument of love, And joy, and laughter, And black hands and white hands clasped as one, And a song that reaches the sky â The song of the life triumphant Through the kids who die.

I have often caught myself thinking this way and then realized how silly it is. But lately I've been working on not punishing myself for having such thoughts. I just go "Hey, brain, I actually don't want cancer. What could make me think that I want cancer? Ah, I don't feel seen or taken seriously." And then all that's needed is the complete restructuring of society to fulfill everyone's needs, easy!
(the last part was sarcasm)
"i wish i had cancer/a wheelchair/severe disability so i would be taken seriously." so you've automatically assumed that these people are taken seriously or treated well (which they aren't) without even thinking about it huh. the assumed premise undermines your very point. if you took these people seriously then you wouldn't idly wish to have their struggles

âOn February 25, 2024, my life changed forever. While I was looking for a living for my family under difficult circumstances, a bullet exploded in my left hand while waiting for humanitarian aid at Nabulsi roundabout. I lost my hand, and with it a large part of my ability to work and live with dignity. My sister is pregnant, my father suffers from a serious illness, and I am responsible for supporting my family. I need your help to undergo a bone transplant, so I can return to my normal life and work again. Every donation, no matter how small, will help me overcome this difficult ordeal.

I really appreciate a good mobile game, they're a great way to pass the time. I still have a few of these downloaded on my phone đ
Now, I'd like to turn your attention to @lubna-ajrami 's beautiful family. Lubna is a mother of three children, all under the age of 8, who are trying to survive the ongoing genocide in Palestine. I humbly ask you to match my donation of ÂŁ25, donate what you can, and share this post around. Thank you for your time, and free Palestine đ”đž

There is currently a strike for Palestine taking place from February 18th, 2024, to February 25th, 2024. During this time, I will only be posting about Palestine on this account and doing what I can to spread awareness. If you are able, I highly recommend participating in the strike in whatever way you are able - something is always better than nothing. Staying home from work and/or school, not buying anything that isn't strictly necessary, using your social media platforms only to boost posts about Palestine, etc., are all ways to help the efforts!
Below are various links for ways you can help Palestine, including educational resources, petitions, fundraisers, etc. If you have any to add on, please do, these are just the ones I've found so far.
Palestine Red Crescent Society
Palestine Children's Relief Fund
eSims For Gaza
Decolonize Palestine (Patreon)
Jewish Voice For Peace
Help Gaza Children

"Pangur BĂĄn and I at work, Adepts, equals, cat and clerk: His whole instinct is to hunt, Mine to free the meaning pent. More than loud acclaim, I love Books, silence, thought, my alcove. Happy for me, Pangur BĂĄn Child-plays round some mouseâs den. Truth to tell, just being here, Housed alone, housed together, Adds up to its own reward: Concentration, stealthy art. Next thing an unwary mouse Bares his flank: Pangur pounces. Next thing lines that held and held Meaning back begin to yield. All the while, his round bright eye Fixes on the wall, while I Focus my less piercing gaze On the challenge of the page. With his unsheathed, perfect nails Pangur springs, exults and kills. When the longed-for, difficult Answers come, I too exult. So it goes. To each his own. No vying. No vexation. Taking pleasure, taking pains, Kindred spirits, veterans. Day and night, soft purr, soft pad, Pangur BĂĄn has learned his trade. Day and night, my own hard work Solves the cruxes, makes a mark."
