JON BERNTHAL as Frank Castle/The Punisher β Daredevil | Season 2
absolutely agreeβit should be Frank. their whole dynamic in ddba s1 had shifted (i love it) into something else, and Karen deserves to be chosen, period. and yeah, itβs absolutely hilarious (and probably true) that Frank would be a disaster leading up to itβlike a skittish, emotionally repressed kitten debating whether to bolt or stay. but when it comes to the β¨ kiss β¨, when he actually gets to that moment, itβd be far from tps1 when he barely kissed her on the cheek and basically professing he sees Karen as someone important, as family. no. Frankβs gotta grab her with both hands.
scenario-wise, i want the kiss to happen either 1) after a forehead touch first or 2) after an adrenaline high, something awful happens, but theyβre safe, bruised, and Frank just decides, say, fuck it and goes for it.
even tho imo kastle is one of those ships where they donβt have to kiss on screen to be devastatingly powerful, if it does happen, good lord. thatβs just a bonus for all of us emotionally invested fools.
I have a big IF question.
IF (please let it happen superior power) we get the Kastle β¨kissβ¨ in s2, who do you want initiating the kiss and why ?
imo ig it should be Frank but what's yours..
(yes im living in their fantasy right now, no don't pull me out)
I really did not think we were going to win like this lmao. If JB is in s2 of born again we basically have kastle in the bag.
fratt is actually sooooo important for the culture like. what if you were grieving your best friend in the entire world, your platonic soulmate, and after he dies you have to deal with your grief and guilt and trauma but also your all-consuming romantic and sexual attraction to this fuckass ex-marine whose love for violence matches only your own. happened to my good friend Matt Murdock
Unbelievably spoilers for Daredevil: Born Again ep 9
So Iβm INSANE about this shot. I clocked immediately there was so much going on and had to rewatch it, now Iβm babbling and trying to do film analysis
After multiple scenes throughout the season using that super cool switch-up in focus and aspect ratio to show when Matt has his hearing focused somewhere else, in this case when we see Matt tilt his head, itβs to show us his split focus.
Heβs talking to Karen yes and heβs listening to her, but heβs verrrrry interested in Frankβs reaction and heβs locked in on it. And weβre meant to be too- we spend so long focused on Frank. Seriously itβs such a long shot.
Matt and Karen are talking while Frank isnβt reacting in a traditional sense, but theyβre out of focus; itβs all about Mr Castle right here, and his definitely-not-reacting reaction. But I bet a heartbeat doesnβt lie.
karen page had the punisher fidget and lose his sass
I totally get we're all rightfully pointing out Frank being overcome in love in the finale but we need a moment for Karen initiating and getting swept up in that gaze with him and having to shake herself out of it but then getting sucked back in to gaze sadly until Frank has to be the one to break the moment because Matt's awkwardly there while they went off into their own little world. The camera's on Frank when he's fiddling with the mug but you can see from her back she sighs with him.
Yes! I love that she's resisting, but the connection (even after all these years) is so strong she just keeps getting sucked back in. And that Frank only brings Matt back into their bubble after she turns down his offer.
Does anybody else track their life though a series of obsessions? Like βah yes, i remember that happening, i was obsessing over Star Gate Atlantis at the time,β or, βthis was during my Supernatural era.β I can map out my whole life in this way.
