For @literallyjusttoa from @heresronnie21, “Apollo taking Meg to meet the sun horses and tour Olympus.”

Me: I should use the plastic cutlery to save the metal stuff for when we eat supper
Also me: *takes the biggest and best bowl available*
! Spoilers !
Grian out here dying like a true bad boy! (Falling to his death cause that's the only thing they were good at)
He died there and I immediately thought that was the best way for him to go out. Plus his immediate "don't tell Tim". Oh goodness.

The different answers to one single question.
Imagine: the players are aware of the life series’s but just don’t remember them unless they win (or they have vague memories). Imagine Joel and Scott are actually friends so in the life series Joel thinks “hey it will be fun to have a rivalry with my good friend Scott” except he has that thought every series because he doesn’t remember the previous games. (I feel like Scott would find it a bit funny)
Now imagine Joel finally remembering and talking with the other winners and they ask him why he always goes after Scott.
Meant to say this earlier but not Grian only joining those known for Watching out of necessity.
Ooooh boy.
Finished Martyns pov...
He sounded so evil and consumed by greed oh my goodness. And the listeners! They return in pretty art form!
Well I for one am excited for the animatics.
!Spoiler warning!
I've only watched 3.5 povs (Cleo, Scar, Scott and Martyn part way) and I'm already so emotional.
The family is dead!! But reunited as ghosts. I'm imagining them haunting Etho for the last minutes of his life.
Etho and Grian sword loyalty, honestly forgot about it for a bit with Ethos mess of questionable loyalties. Only know about it because of Scars ep so idk how that's gonna go.
Martyns unfailing loyalty until the very end. Scott giving up time so things would be fair and him just killing them, saying he doesn't want to play silly games. Him going for Scott first. Unexpected but not out of character, I'm pretty sure he considers betraying everyone.
...Just reached the last few minutes of Martyns, it's so dramatic and intense here and I'm worried even though I know he wins. Heard we get lore if he wins but there's only 2 minutes left so I'm doubtful...
We'll see I guess.
Definately gonna do this for my characters to get inside their heads!!
So my problem with most ‘get to know your character’ questioneers is that they’re full of questions that just aren’t that important (what color eyes do they have) too hard to answer right away (what is their greatest fear) or are just impossible to answer (what is their favorite movie.) Like no one has one single favorite movie. And even if they do the answer changes.
If I’m doing this exercise, I want 7-10 questions to get the character feeling real in my head. So I thought I’d share the ones that get me (and my students) good results:
What is the character’s go-to drink order? (this one gets into how do they like to be publicly perceived, because there is always some level of theatricality to ordering drinks at a bar/resturant)
What is their grooming routine? (how do they treat themselves in private)
What was their most expensive purchase/where does their disposable income go? (Gets you thinking about socio-economic class, values, and how they spend their leisure time)
Do they have any scars or tattoos? (good way to get into literal backstory)
What was the last time they cried, and under what circumstances? (Good way to get some *emotional* backstory in.)
Are they an oldest, middle, youngest or only child? (This one might be a me thing, because I LOVE writing/reading about family dynamics, but knowing what kinds of things were ‘normal’ for them growing up is important.)
Describe the shoes they’re wearing. (This is a big catch all, gets into money, taste, practicality, level of wear, level of repair, literally what kind of shoes they require to live their life.)
Describe the place where they sleep. (ie what does their safe space look like. How much (or how little) care / decoration / personal touch goes into it.)
What is their favorite holiday? (How do they relate to their culture/outside world. Also fun is least favorite holiday.)
What objects do they always carry around with them? (What do they need for their normal, day-to-day routine? What does ‘normal’ even look like for them.)
Exandria, the year 857 PD OR 14 PC(post convergence):
can you imagine the amount of little exandrian emo kids in their teen angst phase, fully convinced they're Asmodeus or the Ravenqueen?
^that makes me sound way cooler than I actually am, I'm just inconsistent and hardly interact with things XD. She/Her, any version of my Username is fine.
