I've purposefully limited your selection to just these bad and unpopular ships (and a few i literally just made up because i thought they would suck), but you still have to choose! I'll do a worst one out of these poll too somewhere down the line because i think that's interesting too
You don't even get the slug! I removed him! You have to pick one!
i'm lowering bentley closer and closer to the acid pit the longer you take to choose
Make sure to tell me what you think and why you think it! (but in an evil way. mwah ha ha!)
I know they're like, necessary for the economy to function, but who let the trains run at "fanfic reading hour" (3am) don't they know people are busy?
I think a lot of people are forgetting that on tumblr fandom used to be practiced very differently. now everyone fucks off to their discords or tumblr groups to discuss everything with a select few, making tags be nearly only used for posting some finished fanworks or not at all
a decade ago people didn't have tumblr groups. people didn't even have dms. if you wanted to talk to anyone about anything you had to make a post, or send an ask (which more often than not would get published and thereby become a post in the end too)
so next time you think "I have a fandom thought but I have to find a small group of hyperspecifically like-minded people to share it with in private" remember all the freaks you could be missing out on meeting by keeping the tags dead. use tags, make friends. fuck discord.
People kept mentioning it on reddit on r/curatedtumblr and it popped up frequently as a crossover in some fandoms I used to read on ffnet so I bit the bullet in September 2024 and started reading. Most of the later twists and turns were spoiled for me because I kept looking up new characters on the wiki to see what happens to them and whether or not I should get attached.
By the end of October I was in literally the middle of arc 24, the chapter right after Cody's interlude, when I decided "this is getting pretty heavy, good stopping point for now" and did nothing but read wormfic until mid-January when I decided that I needed to fully finish Worm to start writing fic about it. So now I write worm fanfiction, that's fun. Hopefully I can finish my current fic by like, May? so then I can start on the *next* wormfic.
its nearly a year since i got into Worm myself so Im feeling nostalgic and curious, how was your first Worm read like? did you stumble across it on your own or did someone else recommend it to you? did you guess any big spoiler correctly, or had some wild theory looking back that you would like to share? personally, i got into it after a friend on twitter shared screenshots on how large the ratio of wlw vs other kinds of ships are in the parahumans fandom fic scene, and she decided to start reading it w me following shortly afterwards out of curiousity and finished reading in around may 2024.
Since Massachusetts won the poll about which state, I now ask where in the state brockton bay is!
I am not including the option to vote for Brockton not being in massachusetts because the entire premise of this poll is that it is! Get in line! in my angry wormpoll era
make sure to tell me what you think and why you think it. jerk.
why would garlic bread betray me like this, I just wanted to write fanfic. save me, TUMs
Tattletale feels particularly well suited as a mind-games/mastermind type of villain for Batman. She would figure out his identity within their first 3 meetings though, so that would make a great aspect to introduce into their dynamic. She even has a tragic backstory of family problems, he'd probably recruit her into the Batfam after a few fights or imprisonments.
So by 'best villain' that encompasses both being interesting to fight but also having good storyline potential. It is not a WhoWouldWin situation.
I have a strong feeling I already know what people will answer with, but I'm interested to see arguments for/against each character.
So I'm working on a fic currently and I was trying to mentally map how I view the layout of the Hebert house so I made a whole floor plan. I'm aware of the one wildbow made, but I wasn't when I started, and I like mine better anyway.
The stairs into the basement are directly below the stairs to the 2nd floor, should help orient things.
Floor 1 + yard
Floor 2

I figure the whole property sits on a full acre, in the older residential part of the docks, so not surrounded by apartments or townhouses but also not an excessively wealthy area. Where the middle class used to be before the economic downturn hit Brockton Bay.
So there's a new fic on SpaceBattles that's trying something new called "Taylor Kills Nazis" where, as you may have guessed, Taylors kills Nazis (while buddy copping around with Sophia).
Some SpaceBattles commenters and, surprisingly, mods have had a lot of trouble dealing with this.
Meanwhile others approve, and have had some helpful suggestions for the author:
Anyway, the story's cool so far. Gives me Michael Mann vibes.
(poll suggested by @germesthegenie)
if you're wondering what THE BUG MEANS (no relation to the slug), i'm referring to the point in the oil rig battle where taylor gets turned into a giant bug by her lab rat vial.
i love spoilers so bizarre and vague that they don't actually explain anything. like these people just saw a tv adaptation of 1.1 they don't even know what a trigger event is like why are we explaining how contessa dies
make sure to tell me what you think and why you think it!
Okay I tried it with Bonesaw and stumped him too, no way in hell was he getting Shatterbird
i like worm characters so obscure that i consistently stump the akinator
