anyway my hot take is that the modern night-of live reporting model is bad and probably should be illegal. democracy is not a spectator sport and the fact that news outlets are allowed to exploit partial vote counts for ratings is ghoulish. there is nothing you can learn the night of a major election that has greater value than waiting the several days to a week that it will take, and always has taken, for the final vote totals to be established
This is badass fan art.

This is significant. The Onion, who hands down has been one of the best satires available making poignant articles even with humor bought out one of the worst propaganda machines out there. If you really don't know who Alex Jones is, he's the evil guy who tormented the families who lost little kids when they were murdered in their school in 2012. This vile human kept accusing these families of being actors and faking the whole thing to the extent that people who listened to his show, purposefully harassed these families. Even just thinking about this again has me sobbing.
Every time there is another mass shooting, The Onion also posts their now infamous article 'No Way to Prevent This,' Says Only Nation Where This Regularly Happens.
This guy and his "media empire" deserves to be torn apart. But it's not the end goal. It's just another battle against misinformation and violence in this country. But it's a win.
2022 all in one A5 almost completely done. My experiment with planner and journal in one book worked really well, but the book was a bit big to travel with. #nanamisevenseas #a5planner #a5notebook #planner #journal https://www.instagram.com/p/Cm2GQOXJx6Y/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
So, other reporting heard was that someone recognized him in a McDonald's. Also, is there really a "CEO shooter tip line"? It might be doubtful that this post is accurate.
Product registrations help with keeping track of patrons in the event of recall or other product deficiencies. I think it's more help than this post might be making it out to be.
The perpetrator murdered someone. I'm absolutely against gun violence and I'd rather continue to get at these shooters to know this society will not accept it. If the victim was a child, would this situation be so excused?
The perception of privacy is really skewed in all sorts of directions. Unless you are able to get NDA for your purchases with the seller, it's difficult to say this is covered under privacy laws, I think. It's not a satisfying feeling that there is the potential of abuse. So why don't we get some legislation that holds these companies accountable for abuse of our information? I would also hope that means they would get penalized when they let hackers steal our information too.
I get it. I hate the thought of online entities giving data on women who get abortion care. But my issue is with the laws against medical care. That way a company would not feel the need to comply with bad laws.
I wish I got to see the music performances this year. Oh well. These are nice shots.
PREMIUM VINTAGE // 1.25.25 // MAGFEST MAIN STAGE (Music and Games Fest)
My coworker told me about this song. It's become almost an anthem a generation can commiserate on. Even though shit is being the shittiest in the US., this kind of made some feel better vibes. Like ammo to hold the line and fight another day.
This is the way the world ends, not with a bang but with a banger

I've been looking into AI... capabilities lately for work and for fun. In comparing some of the offerings out there, I came across this review dated to just before the AI hype train for Grammarly.
People need and want to help in communicating, especially for those that English is a second language. The video pretty much points out the concerns I have about using bots to help, whether it's generative machine learning or not.
I watched the Netflix Wednesday show and was a bit disappointed. Spoilers ahead.
The show had potential. Started pretty strong with aesthetic and character variety. By the middle to end, the characters were a bit cheapened. Unfortunately the main character began to suffer the Bella Swan (Twilight) effect. Meaning: Bella could do absolutely whatever and still have friends wanting to still be her friend despite ignoring them completely for her own desires.
Wednesday just kept attracting all these friends that she never seemed to reciprocate. It's not exactly the same because at least a few of her friends actually tell her off for being a dick, but it still falls short. Specifically, for the character that goes to jail wrongfully accused of murder but then completely forgives her and buys her a phone at the end of the series.
If the show runners wanted to depict a flawed Wednesday, then at least follow through on the repercussions of those flaws on the people around her. She never actually apologizes for her actions either and second season or not, they should've backed that up with the secondary characters not always accepting her shit. As an attempt of character growth, it just doesn't happen and she ends up being quite flat.
The more I thought about the actions of the supporting characters in dealing with Wednesday, the more disappointing the story became in retrospective. The problem I see as this show is pretty popular, there are most definitely people out there inspired by this character and tend to mimic traits.
I just want to make sure that being goth does not mean be a dick.
