I had some of these doodles already prepared but never really finished them up until I came up with a cute little idea

I didn't think of where to put in Flapjack until I remembered that android animals existed, and then I had a brain blast moment where I realized that Hunter can still talk to Flapjack! They are little android buddies, they can interface and talk and be friends!! I think it would also help to make him feel a bit more comfortable with his identity as an android to be able to have his little buddy to have fun private conversations with. Camila introduces them (maybe he had gotten hurt by a previous owner and she found him and let Gus fix him up) and Hunter is a bit tentative about it at first, but Flapjack is adorable and sweet and quickly wins him over

I just now had the idea that Gus, since he's super into android stuff, would probably be a big resource for software and hardware difficulties. Oh, you fell and your arm is working kinda wonky? Call up Gus, he'll crack you open and take a look. The dude doesn't mind in the least, he freaking LOVES going down mechanical and coding rabbit holes to better understand how androids work. I like to think that if Hunter ever got hurt and chose not to accept help because of body/species dysphoria, Gus would be a really good resource for him to try and feel as normal as possible while he's getting fixed. Gus is his brother and he loves him and they're just good to each other okay? Gus would probably crack some jokes or something to get Hunter's mind off it, or infodump about android organs or something (and Hunter would be begrudgingly interested because they are nerds, and Hunter is interested in androids too underneath all the problems he has with deviancy. Like dude they're robots, what's not to love?)

Also some Gus being so over Hunter's "androids can't feel love" phase featuring Vee and Masha being very adorable and very obviously in love :) Hunter is a very silly stupid man. He will find any way to make literally everyone exempt from the terrible rules Philip fed him, except for himself

I'm trying to think of a potential situation that would parallel Hunter's possession, and I think it would probably be basically the same thing that happens in Connor's deviant path (when he deviates and joins the revolution as an ally) where Amanda (a separate AI in his programming that's basically how CyberLife keeps him in check) takes over Connor's programming last minute to try and put a stop to the revolution.

So my current thought is that Philip is basically using Hunter as a trojan horse. His main programming is to act and believe like he's a normal human but similar to Connor, he's basically a sleeper agent without knowing. I imagine that once Hunter gains access to his software (thanks to Vee and Gus), he starts finding programs and files that are labeled as pretty scary things. He shouldn't have to know the most efficient way to shut an android down or incapacitate a human.

If and when Philip finally goes looking for Hunter and sees the first android he's seen in Gravesfield besides Hunter (aka Vee), he's not going to take that well.

I haven't drawn anything for it but so far I'm thinking that he takes control of Hunter's programming, maybe through some taking advantage of his interfacing system, and locks him in his own head a la Connor and Amanda to sic him after Vee and Flapjack (assuming that Philip's main goal, similar to both canons, is to eradicate deviants). It's likely that his friends will try to apprehend him, Vee or Gus will try (and maybe fail a couple times) to delete the programming while Camila deals with Philip. The guy is old and decrepit and Camila would absolutely whoop his ass with the ease of swatting a fly.

Things will be fine; Vee is all good and they manage to delete whatever programming screwed with Hunter's control, but that kid is going to be HELLA anxious about interfacing again from then on since he's afraid of 1) losing his own control and 2) potentially passing the virus onto someone else. It could go two ways at that point: Hunter could either kill Flapjack since Flapjack is technically a deviant android and therefore a target, or we can be nice and let Flapjack live to help him heal from this brand-new trauma.

So yeah hopefully that sates some curiosity! I'm glad you're interested in it because I honestly really love to think of new stuff whenever my brain decides to work hahaha

Okok thinking about the Ghoul Hunter AU and wondering how would the TTT possession play out.

Hunter had been suppressing his hunger and instincts for months and now Belos is in control.

Does he get the same bloodlust as Hunter? Is he able to control it and does he even want to? Does he use Hunter's jaws made for ripping and tearing flesh do to just that to his friends?

Does Hunter have to explain afterwards that the mauling wasn't a side-effect of the possession, not Belos' doing, but an urge Hunter is actively trying to stop himself from acting on day after day?

By the time the possession happened, Hunter would be months without a full meal.

However this wouldn’t be the first time Hunter lashes out as his friends, that would be another time before :3. When the possession happens, the hexsquad would be aware of Hunters tendencies and bit of backstory but not the completed and ugly picture. Hunter censors himself a lot around them, never wanting to expose them to his violence and hating himself for any violence he commits against them or in front of them.

Anyways, when Belos possess him, he is overwhelmed with months worth of bloodlust and hunger. Belos felt hunger and lack of control due to his own past and curse but he was never prepared by overwhelming power of it in Hunter. So unlike canon where Belos has his focus on Titan blood, he’s overwhelmed by hunger and fights with the intent to eat.

It’s shocking, when he possesses Hunter at first with how much hunger and pain he feels as seen in the first image, he didn’t expect it and he can’t control it. So rather than mocking or in control, he’s reduced to a ravenous beast, snarling and salivating with Hunter oh so desperately trying to take back control.

These are also more like concept sketches because I do intend on having more drawings of this particular scene. Belos really thought possessing Hunter would be easy, bro forgot Hunter was used to starving and suppressing urges. :33

Is needing raw meat and blood the only traits hunter has in this AU? or does he have others?

Nope, our boy developed increased senses like better smell, hearing and eyesight. One big difference between Hunter and the other witches is that his ears are constantly moving, detecting every little sound and are more emotive in general. It’s cute if not odd to the other witches.

One clear difference is his teeth. While witches can have fangs, Hunter chompers are absolute killers compared to theirs. His canines jut outwards a bit to stab into his prey and hook his teeth under their skin, making it impossible to escape without causing excessive bleeding. His later incisor and first molar are sharp to tear into meat better. The rest molars are relatively normal if not a bit sharper than usual. He does have an extremely strong jaw that can break through bone, fun when eating jaw breakers but also means if he gets you, he ain’t letting go without at least a piece of you with him.

His biggest differences are in the inside with his digestive system with developing a smaller intestine, colon and cecum making it difficult to get any sort of nutrients from normal food. He found that outside of raw meat and blood, raw eggs and certain dairy products are fairly good. (Fish too but that’s included in meat)

Eyes constricting happened during hunting since it’s a way to protect the eyes if sun is out. Basically the pupil and iris getting really small.(it also makes him look a bit scary)

Their some other grimwalker head canons thrown in here like immunity to the heat like boiling rain and fire, lack of pulse, stone lungs when sleeping, and being able to hold his breathe for a really long time. This is all to build Grimwalkers to be super predators in a way, something for witches to fear. heheh they’re kinda like cats.

Behold the product of my brain worms! Inspired by @pincushionx's Ghoul AU because it's absolutely delightful and horrifying and I love it and I needed to immediately write something for it

Just had a random thought of Owl Beast Eda and Ghoul AU Hunter having a vole-eating contest. I think that’s enough thinking for tonight.

Ghoul Hunter Au

They go on hunts together :3

She can definitely eat more than him but he’s very good at hunting them (it’s in his name)

Once we start approaching the post canon of this AU, Eda and Hunter bond quite well together. Since both of them deal with curses or curse-like (in Hunters case) things that in many ways ruined their lives. (Belos told Hunter he was cursed)

Eda is big advocate for Hunter and often the one to talk to him about being a “monster” considering she was labeled as one for so long. She helps make that deep rooted shame go away for a bit and often gives him moments of where he can embrace that side of himself just for a moment.

Voles and other animals are like the equivalent of drinking a cup of juice when hungry for Hunter, it does help a bit but it isn’t actually food and he’ll be hungry again in an hour. While normal cooked food is like water, at least the juice has some sugar and vitamins.

I see lots of fanfics that talk about the Grimwalker stories and myths as Grimwalkers being these predators that hunt witches and are these monster that feed off of flesh, but all of these are usually false and like I said just myths.

So what if that wasn’t the case? What if Grimwalkers were the flesh craving beasts everyone thinks they are. Aka me giving Hunter the Tokyo Ghoul treatment (kinda)

This image takes place during Thanks to Them, he’s hunting and consuming animals to sustain himself but they can only do so much. He keeps it a secret because he’s ashamed, scared and full of self loathing. Unfortunately you can only sneak out and wash your clothes so frequently until you get caught.

The craving flesh started around the time Hunter started hitting his second stage of puberty, so around 12 to 13 years old. It started off as spouts of aggression, weight loss and odd carvings that he suppressed until he eventually snapped and attacked a scout. Once he consumed flesh, there was no going back.

This happened with a few Grimwalkers, typically one made around pubescent years due to this being a natural development. Grimwalkers who are made as adults don’t get this since get miss that developmental period. A reason why Belos made Grimwalkers strictly adults for hundreds of years before trying out a new experiment.

When Belos made Hunter, he was aware of this and rather than kill Hunter off or just make an adult Grimwalker, he decided he can benefit from a “monster” needing a source of food.

Hence, Hunter picking up a reputation for being “feral.” Belos supplies Hunter with blood and flesh but not enough to satisfy him, just the minimum to keep him alive. This is to keep Hunter at a state where he’s willing to do more work to earn more food but unfortunately this just results in cases of Hunter going “too far” aka mauling different beings (witches, beasts, demons, ect) during missions on the accounts he’s literally starving and being triggered in fights.

He can eat normal food but his sense of taste is bit dull and doesn’t give him the nutrition he needs. He can eat and eat and it will do nothing. He learns to satisfy himself through eating animals he hunts during missions. When he gets to the human realm he eats his food with an overwhelming amount of seasoning just to taste it.

(Imagine a scenario he pauses a mission mid way to go hunt some voles and eat them raw and the scouts just standing there like-)

After Hollow mind Hunter struggles because now he’s has little source of witch or demon flesh (he raids the healing classes for blood and kitchen for uncooked meat)

So during thanks to them he’s forced to live with three witches, a basilisk, two humans who are somewhat similar to witches and oh boy he struggles. His friends are concerned. Camila notices Hunter eats a lot but still looks like he isn’t gaining weight, Gus notices that he sneaks out, Vee smells something wrong with him, Luz sees how on edge he is, Amity catches on to his burst of aggression (caused by hunger and stress) and Willow notices he avoids them.

They all already knows something is off with him (heightened senses, unusual teeth and jaw strength, glowing eyes, unusually tight and powerful muscles despite how gaunt he is) but only Luz knows he’s a grimwalker but hasn’t quite put the peices that’s he’s a unnatural, natural predator to witches and demons. The witches, Vee and even the humans feel a slight primal fear around Hunter but they can’t quite put the reason why, he puts them on edge even if they love him but something’s off.

Despite the fact that all of them are willing to give him blood, even some flesh if they could, the boy just refuses, since he sees himself as a literal monster that needs to be locked up.

This is me giving Hunter Grimwalker trauma x100. Anywho this is my late Halloween post aka my billionth AU idea. This was inspired by Tokyo Ghoul, Ginger snaps(2000) and the fic [redacted] Hunter by ApaMonkey on ao3! Yall should read it!

I have a weakness for flesh craving characters who aren’t villains but they aren’t so common so of course I had to project that love to my own skrunkly!

Do you mean music as inspiration for art or what songs I listen to? I’ll answer both.

Songs that are more intense or darker subjects result in more “edgy” drawings while more happy songs that are more positive result in my more cute or wholesome art. It also depends on tone, that matters . The boiling rain drawing I was listening to stuff like set it off or get scared which are the typical early mid internet edgy songs like ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing’ or ‘sarcasm’ which resulted in a drawing I would’ve seen in deviantart or in a edgy 10 year old YouTube animation lowkey. That drawing made me laugh since it seemed over the top.

But it works when working in a Au with an angsty teen.

Though I don’t really associate Hunter with those songs because he’s not like that but that doesn’t really matter because when you have an obsession, you manage to put your blorbo through every song you listen to. It’s kinda funny.

Songs really do matter when drawing I think because it greatly affects what I’m going for. When listening to the emo bangers, my art style came out a bit anime-ish, while in a WIP I’m working on, the song Skeleton appreciation is the inspo so it’s going to a more depressing piece. Despite these both being more dark songs the tones are different which result in a different drawings, I often put songs on loop on certain drawings since a lot of my ideas stem from the media I consume, like music. I also imagine animatics which I may make in the future.

I have my own songs I associate different things with. For the late redemption Au it’s bands like Set it off, Get scared, Evanesence, MCR, ect. Not necessarily because I think the songs match him but because the frequent angry and hateful tones of the songs do. Like the lyrics aren’t exact but the rage is still the same if that makes sense.

Here some more songs of the songs i remember listening to during some of Late redemptions drawings. Everybody’s fool, going under by Evanescence. Evil people, Wolf in sheep’s clothing, Punching bag by set it off. Sarcasm, Don’t you dare forget the sun, keep myself alive by Get scared. Dead, house of wolves, Kill all your friends by MCR and others more. I might make a list of songs in the future.

Anywho, media affects the kinda of stuff you produce, my recent streak of consuming Horror and dark comedy movies has recently produced my new Au that’s just Hunter consuming flesh because of grimwalker biology. So yeah.

I definitely encourage people to consume media in all sorts of forms, books, movies, shows, music, ect. Not because it’s good to have a range of things but because it gives you more idea of what to put your faves through. My wise words

Watching and Dreaming, Late Redemption AU

I decided to redo this comic not because I don’t like it but because I believe could do better on the art and story telling of this AU now that I have a better grasp of what I want.

Context, this is a late redemption au of Hunter where certain canon events don’t happen. This is shortly after Belos death. Hunter has his possession scars because it played out in a much different way. Sadly this also means very slow burn pittwins siblings.

Once I have a few more posts a master list will be made in timeline order, so like separate tides to post-canon. Though the story will be nonlinear :3

Dana recently announced that Belos raised Hunter as a toddler because it would have been easier to influence a small mind rather than a fully developed one. And it made me think abt how he's never been anyone's baby.

Anyways rather than going with Hunter in this Au, Flapjack ended up staying with Luz. They aren’t technically bonded since they can’t communicate but Flapjack hangs around and lets her use his staff form but Luz does end up getting stringbean in the future. Most importantly, he lives in the end! As for what happened in Hunting palismen and any relationship development with Hunter, that will come when the time is right :))
