yes! and younger me who hated confrontation of any kind would sit by, say nothing and let it eat me alive inside. now, if i have issue with the way a friend is behaving or what they said, i tell them + explain my feelings. is it easy? no, especially in this everything is a joke era but idc about all that! i’ve learned that in any true healthy relationship these kinds of conversations are not only allowed but encouraged otherwise how do we bridge the distance from one heart to another?

Everyone’s been making analysis videos on Maddy—on how to be “That Girl”—but honestly, I think what really makes Maddy iconic is that she stands up for herself. At the core of it, I feel like that’s why so many people look up to characters like her. Standing up for yourself is literally the HOTTEST thing you can do. It's the only thing that truly passes the test of real confidence, imo.

I’m not saying she’s perfect or always outspoken in every situation (who is ?), but her character shows someone who has learned to be her biggest advocate and best friend in this life. And that alone is powerful. She fights for herself at least 90% of the time—and that’s more than what most people can say.
