Equality

I was in an abusive relationship. Whenever my ex-girlfriend and I got into an argument, which was often, it eventually led to me being slapped or punched. The physical damage was nothing compared to the emotional toll, but not one time did I ever strike back because that’s not the kind of person I wanted to be. I don’t want anyone, regardless of gender, to have to go through that. A lot of people are making a great many assumptions without proper context but all of that aside I’m more disheartened that people would actually believe that I would perpetuate violence against women. Violence is a problem. Jack and I were not making some grand sweeping statement about feminism or trying to say that it’s okay to hit women. We were shooting the breeze talking about some crazy videos we saw on YouTube. The main point that some people missed out on is that it’s not okay to hit ANYONE.  Equality is an ideal. But ideals taken in the literal sense don’t fit the world as it exists today. An eye-for-an-eye is literal equality. Men and women being able to hit one-another is literal equality. There is a SERIOUS imbalance to that particular equation that needs to be solved but as a whole it’s still not the kind of equality I fight for. I fight for a world that eventually forgets what violence is. I would gladly lay down my life to change the world today so that when I’m long gone and forgotten someday there will be a generation that only remembers humanity’s violence and greed in history books and children’s tales. My videos are only intended to make people smile and I’m sincerely sorry that this one in particular failed to do that. I’ll always hold myself to a higher standard and I hope that you all will too. The standing rock tribe are being silenced about what is going on up there with the Dakota access pipe line.

I beg of you to help me get the topic out. It will affect millions of lives. The pipe will leave into the tribes only source of drinking water. We are trying so hard to get this out on twitter and facebook, but we are being silenced.

Today a security team came into the middle of a peaceful native american protest and numerous people got maced and bitten by the dogs. 

I want you all to take a look at the terror on these young girls faces. Then I want you to take a look at the two aggressive dogs. When did it become OK to use dogs against children, mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters OUR freakin people!!! The police will only let a dog go if the suspect runs or the suspect is violent and causes a threat to the public of the officer. Do you see a weapon in these young girls hands? Do these girls look dangerous? The answer would be no. No they don’t. The people with the dogs aren’t even police officers! They are security guards. They couldn’t even keep control of their own dogs leading to them being attacked also.

Most of you won’t even bat an eyelid at my posts, others will be annoyed because of my constant posting.This is happening right this second and threatening millions of lives. I have to help. We can only break the silence if you join us in this fight. Just sharing my post helps the reality of the situation get out there. I now beg of you to share this post in support of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. Give them a bigger voice. Help them shout this from the roof tops. Please… Rachael <3 <3 #NoDAPL

You’re in charge of assigning every child on Earth the monster under their bed. One child in particular has caused every monster assigned to him/her to quit. You decide to assign yourself.

I supported Bernie more passionately than anything i’ve ever supported in this country. I voted for him, wore his merchandise, his bumper sticker still sits proudly on my car, but I will not be writing him in next week.

Immediately after his loss I looked for hope in the green party, joined jill steins meme dank stash, did research on her policies and though I was skeptic about a few things I had hope. But as time went on just like the rest of the candidates she too proved to be just not enough. Her failure to run an effective campaign and her anti-science pandering was too much for me and I found myself staring dreadfully at our only two real choices.

Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

God knows I do not want to vote for either of these two vile, corrupted, insane individuals. One is a clown and the other a robot, both interested in their own agendas and not the well being of the people they wish to lead. I’m tired of the news, i’m tired of the drama, I’m tired of cringe worthy arguments on facebook. So I went back to the last thing I believed in, and listened to Bernie. He believed in us, and so I am choosing to believe in him. He had an idea for the future and an idea for what it meant to be free and be great, and i know he hasn’t given up on those ideas, so I will listen to him and vote for Hillary because a protest vote won’t help anyone, or anything, a protest vote won’t help him or the ideologies that I stand for. And voting for Trump would be voting for everything he fought for, so I will vote for Hillary. Not because I’m a shill, or a hillbot, because God I despise that human being. But because the alternative is the exact opposite of what I stand for, so I have to make a sacrifice and vote for the lesser evil because my future and the future of my daughter depends on it.
