Okay wait so something just struck me
Can you imagine, like in Mob Psycho 100, Reigen’s safety just becomes like. A top level priority for the government.
Like Reigen is, or is at least partially, the reason all these Uber powerful psychics are living normal ass lives. Maybe even if it’s just tangentially. Either way, Mob would absolutely lose it if Reigen got hurt. And god forbid if something worse we’re to happen to him, those responsible would have to deal with several extremely powerful extremely pissed off psychics. They might not even care about Reigen specifically. But Reigen being hurt hurts Mob. And you can’t hurt Mob. Hurting mob is a crime against humanity
So like. What if at one point Joseph From The Government just sees this guy who has Zero Percent Psychic Power and One Hundred Percent Direct Relation To Powerful Psychics just throwing his ass into danger for Something and Mob/Teruki/Serizawa/(insert other psychics because I’m forgetting people) just losing all their braincells going after him and he’s like oh my god. Someone put this man in a tucking hamster ball he cannot be allowed to be hurt for any reason ever Japan would not survive this
like im almost POSITIVE someone else has made the analysis before but the 'psychic powers as an autism allegory' works soooo so fucking well when it comes to serizawa/mob/teru/ritsu like. hold on im bullet pointing this shit.
mob - being the main character, we see the lived experience of psychic powers (autism) through his eyes and the eyes of his mentor figure without powers. how he lives his day to day life trying very hard to be normal but also suppressing this part of his identity and the feelings linked to him to assimilate better also theufcking. line reigen has where he says 'i had no idea you were fighting/holding back all This this whole time' AAAGHHH
ritsu - the brother who, because of his ability to mask better and fit in as the model student BECAUSE of his brother's powers and higher need for care (his older brother mind you) his psychic powers basically went unnoticed by him and his family but he desperately wanted them to be able to keep up with his brother (turns out he had them just Different)
teru - being the example of a 'savant' with his powers, climbing social ranks because of his abilities while also being well. a unique kid i can say. but its also extremely obvious teru's exceptionalism made him exceptionally lonely, and the kinship he finds with mob is almost comical considering the lengths he goes to help him. because hes one of the people who understands him best!
serizawa - an older man who, quite frankly is the embodiment of what ritsu would fear happening to mob (becoming a shut in and isolated from others out of fear of hurting them) who!! still winds up living a very happy and fulfilling life despite being 'the worst case scenario' just because mob and reigen take the time to actually give a shit about him and communicate with him in a way he understands

I actually drew this a few months ago as a larger piece also including denji, but it wasnt going well so I scrapped it. But that led to this and im v happy with the outcome :D

Ive been really enjoying just doing little doodles and not putting pressure on myself to have it look like any of my other drawings/have perfect anatomy/colouring etc, its fun :)

Mob got a head injuries so now eveyone (san ritsu) has to has it too
different from my regular style but it was fun to draw something a little more simple for once, ft xaku deluxe fashion
the implications of tiny kid mob seeing spirits and not understanding how Horrifying it would be to a normal person is so freaking funny I just picture like

Realised I never posted the full piece here, but this was my addition to the most recent (albeit a few months old at this point) edition of hermitzine!
some stuff I did for my environment concept art module earlier this year, the assignment was to design a medieval fantasy building, So i went with an observatory. I’m really proud of how it turned out! :)
