You can love a character and still admit when they’re wrong. I love the blue eyes trio but can acknowledge their flaws (they have none) and can hold them accountable for their wrongdoings (they’ve never done anything wrong in their life) and call them out for their actions (which are always correct).

what's so fun about Lalo is that he doesn't seem to think things through at all. nor does he even attempt to minimize the damage he does. he killed that guy at the travelwire because it was slightly more convenient for him, he killed howard for pretty much the same reason. howard hadnt even really seen anything yet, he just happened to be there. instead of coming up with some fake story to get him to leave, or just restraining him along with kim and jimmy, he just thinks "nah, easier if he dies now". his callousness is kind of unmatched tbh. other cartel guys kill for actual reasons, like revenge, to gain respect, to make money. lalo just does it because a. He can. and b. its less work. when he gets arrested, he first grabs his gun but puts it back when he sees more cops, because he can take on 2 cops no problem, but more? thatll be a hassle, so he'll just go quietly instead. when he's following mike and he pulls into the parking lot and he does the thing with the chewing gum and the ticket, lalo is stuck behind some random guy, and first he just yells at the guy, but when he realizes thats not working he just . fucking floors it into that guys car, through the gate and onto the street. where he can no longer see mike, so kind of just for nothing. extremely goal driven behavior
