always remember this!
You are never as awkward as you think you are
You are never as annoying as you think you are
You are never as boring as you think you are
Your compliments are never as creepy as you think they are
You are way more wanted than you give yourself credit for
Chin up, everything’s going to be okay, okay?
this is the one thing i need in my life other than good grades
Any ideas for efficient breaks between study sessions?
I’m a pro at this;
Clean your desk. This is very important because you would want to have a clean space when you want to return to studying. It’ll also help you focus more.
Grab a healthy snack. Carrots and nuts are my favorite snacks tbh.
refill your bottle of water.
Solve a rubix cube (if you know how to solve it)
Check your email or messages, but make sure you don’t spend more than 5 minutes. Just reply to the important ones.
Make yourself a cup of tea or coffee.
Prepare some oatmeal! I love oatmeal and I always have some during my break. It’s very nutritious and it wakes you up frankly.
Have a shower. Sometimes when I’m sleepy, I just take a short shower, usually moderately cold, maybe even warm, and change into fresh clothes. That boosts my level of concentration AND makes me feel amazing.
Tidy your room. This is a nice way to control the mess and it sets you in a better mood, knowing that everything is in place and neat.
Call a friend! You sometimes need to chat with someone that makes you feel happy.
Watch a youtube video (preferably motivational). This is what I do most of the time. It really gives me a boost of motivation and kind of reminds me why I’m doing what I’m doing. Why I shouldn’t stop.
Exercise; some yoga sequences, crunches, squats, ANYTHING REALLY! Maybe practice your splits or bridge. I don’t know, just MOVE your body. I frankly dance. I just place some music and start to choreograph to it. Or I also practice my kicks for karate (trying to get them higher than usual). Just do any kind of exercise that moves your body.
POWER NAP YAASSS. If you feel too tired, just sleep. Tell someone to wake you up in 20 minutes or so. but don’t exceed the 40 minutes or else you would wake up tired rather than energized. Tbh, a 20 minutes power nap is the best option.
Read a chapter from your favorite book. Just one chapter yeah?
Prepare lunch, or dinner. I honestly just go heat up my food and eat it, or maybe actually prepare some (noodles bruh). and then I watch something while I’m eating, like a part of that musical I’ve been wanting to watch (Heathers is what I’m currently watching).
Prepare next week’s spread. I tend to do that during the weekends.
Skincare! Since I have rosacea (it sucks), I use this time to wash my face, apply a face mask, then wash my face AGAIN then put some serum to regenerate the skin. Not only is this good for my skin, but it also makes me more relaxed.
Go outside! go to the library, the coffee shop, the grocery store, the park. ANYTHING. You need fresh air.
THIS IS THE MOST YOU CAN GET.
Watch a movie. Preferably something that doesn’t have sequels.
Watch an episode or two from your favorite show. if the episode is for 1 hour or more (Sherlock or GOT) you probably should watch one episode.
Go out. Have lunch with a friend, or by yourself (quality time aye)
Go shopping!
Write. I have a two hours break every Saturday and Sunday to write.
Clean up your closet. You probably have many shirts and pants that don’t fit you anymore, so why not give them to someone that actually needs them?
This is what I can think of at the moment. Hope they’re useful!
And remember to actually be productive for you to take a break yeah?
Scarlet Vision AU:
After the events of Endgame, Wanda sets off on a mission of bringing back Vision.
“Loving masculinity in a woman differs crucially in one way from loving it in a man: In her it is a badge of standing out, not of fitting in. It is grown into through pain, or at least a sense of separation from those less different.”

I fell for Maven Calore, just like Mare Barrow did in Red Queen. I did not immediately fall in love with Marecal at “Thief, Obviously”, and that I think is okay even though most of the fandom did. I was conflicted because at the time, I truly did believe Maven was with the scarlet guard and that Cal wasn’t. Yet Cal was still incredibly kind and sweet to Mare Then we all know what happened, and I was incredibly angry with Maven and could not comprehend what had happened.
Throughout Glass Sword, I felt like Mare did, falling more in love with Cal but then also missing a boy that never really existed. But then King’s Cage caused even more heartbreak! I tried so hard to separate the dream and the reality. King’s Cage gave us more insight into how twisted Maven truly is. As someone who suffers depression and anxiety, it often feels like there are two versions of me in my head. One that isolates and self deprecates, and another that tells me to be kind to myself. The fact that Maven truly does not know what is him and what is what Elara constructed is devastating. He has grown up with endless mental and probably physical abuse from his mother. He never felt like he was good enough, that he was a shadow, and I personally know how difficult it is to feel like you are not enough. He is constantly battling so many parts of himself, the desperation and confusion must be terrifying. He admitted to Mare in the bathtub scene that he knows it is his fault that they aren’t together. He shows regret in his eyes when he is marrying Iris.
I also think the reason why Mare understands him so much is because they are really similar in personality in how they deal with pain and fear. When Maven scratches his hands to inflict physical pain, Mare recognizes that in herself as a substitute for mental pain. Both of them hate each other but no matter how hard they try they can’t let each other go. Their twisted love is so toxic. Like Mare said, if she was raised by someone like that, what would she become? What was Maven supposed to be? Mare could easily become a monster too, and often fears she already is one. Both have murdered. Both are broken. Just imagine if you loved someone, then killed them by accident, then loved another yet had that affection butchered and shattered by your own mother .If you were molded to become someone else’s tool for their desires, to live a fate you never wanted.
I do not excuse Maven’s horrible actions, but my heart breaks for the tragedy he is. When people say Maven should die, etc. I understand where it is coming from. Hell, Mare wants to kill him. She had the chance to, but she couldn’t. She sees all the layers he has and how difficult it is for him to sort through them and find the truth. In his twisted way, he does love Mare, and that love is poison. I think we must remember that he is a brilliant villain, a beautiful tragedy, and very much grey rather than black and white, but still a broken boy.

Harry gets the magical flu and he’s laid up in bed for a week. The only reason he doesn’t fall behind in classes is because he gets notes from a classmate, but he doesn’t know who it is.
For @loveyprophet
(You can read it on AO3 here)
Magical flu – who would have thought that’d be a thing? Unfortunately for Harry, it was.
He’d been laid up in bed for three days now, swaddled in blankets and sleeping through the day.
The first few days he had spent in the hospital wing, but once his fever broke the matron agreed to let him rest in the Gryffindor dorms.
The first letter came that evening. Harry watched as it fluttered through the open window of the dorm room, fluttering wings keeping it afloat as it gracefully circled the room, the paper crackling with the movement.
Harry cupped his hands and held out his arms, watching – mesmerised – as the enchanted paper bird landed in his hand and fell still.
He carefully unfolded the paper, feeling a strange warmth settle in his chest as he looked down at the elegant scrawls of lettering across the page.
There were pages upon pages of notes, each titled by which class they were for. There were notes for the past three days of lessons—about what they had learnt in class as well as observations the writer had made and doodles and illustrations along the edges of the paper.
Among the notes for Herbology, there were illustrations of the plants as well as notes on the side about how to tend to them, what potions and medicines they were used in, and their own magical properties.
There were more notes on Transfiguration, Charms, History of Magic, and Defence Against the Dark Arts. The notes for Astronomy were covered in illustrations of stars and constellations that sat alongside the lesson notes: Canis Major with a brilliantly vibrant star—Sirius; Cygnus, Lyra, and at the bottom of the page Draco.
For Potions, there were detailed notes on what the potion was used for and step-by-step instructions. In the columns were small illustrations of the ingredients – herbs, beetles, flowers; all beautifully drawn – and an animated drawing of a potion blowing up in Seamus’ face—a common enough occurrence that seeing the animated sketch play through made Harry smile.
Harry read the notes avidly, finding himself smiling more and more as he read through the pages. But what caught him off guard was the final page; it was empty except for one sentence, the beautifully elegant handwriting making the words seem all the more meaningful.
Get well soon.
