YES! You heard it here folks! Its that time of year again, Golden Madness’s 2nd anniversary is right around the corner, so you know what that means!
But instead of a novel copy of Golden Madness, i will be giving away a leather-bound sketchbook with some special GM extras! Extra’s that may or may not include answering some of long held questions the winners have about GM
There will be one sketchbook for my more Instagram-involved followers and one for a lucky person here on Tumblr! Each sketch book comes with thick paper, leather-bound covers, and a locking mechanism in the front! They’re small and compact enough to fit in your purse or backpack for easy, on the go sketching!
The rules are as follows:

Find any song used in GM (EXCEPT the ones in Chapter 12 and 15)
Find the movie that song is from (I’ll post them under ‘Read More’)

So the reason as to why I decided to go with this challenge in particular is because i wanted to show y’all my main inspirations for GM i.e Bollywood and my culture. And while i know both things aren’t everyone’s cup of tea, my hope for this contest is just to expose everyone to different culture as well as what runs through my head when I sit down to write GM.
Once again, I’d like to thank everyone for supporting GM over the two years this fic has been alive and kicking. I really, truly could not have done any of this without y’all, and i’m so thankful to have met so many amazing people via this crazy little idea of mine. (jk i love you and thank you for that wonderful compliment. Though the fact that ANYONE is inspired by me is still awesomely baffling.)
But as far as your question goes...
24. favorite scene i’ve ever written
Tbh, its a really close call between two scenes in ‘Golden Madness’ for me
The first one being the part where Sifair (my OC and Keith’s mom) says goodbye to Matt and Shiro in Chapter 5: Lick Your Wounds.
Mainly barbecue i feel that that scene, if nothing else, TRULY conveys the whole of Sifair’s character. I character i’ve spent so long rewriting and revising.
The qualities she shows in that scene are the qualities that have stuck with her through her first iteration and to her present stage.
She’s a mom.
A mom who’s had a hard, bloodly life full of regrets and death. A mom who’s willing to go through all that again if it means protecting her kids. A mom who, at the same time, doesn't want to put her kids through what she had to go through. She just wants love and the someone to love.
That scene really captures that.
The second one would have to be a scene in Chapter 10: A Version of the Truth
The one where Allura’s telling the side of Laila’s story HER father told her, and, at the same time, Coran is telling the side of the Laila’s story that the ALTEAN PEOPLE were told.
It was confusing to write.
But it was a risk i wanted to take. It was something that the plot of ‘Golden Madness’ hinged upon. The concept of POV and which narrative is the right one is something i’ve always wanted to play with.
This scene is really the culmination of those ideas.
After i posted that chapter i got theory after theory in the comment section. And while comments and feedback are easily the best parts of writing, THEORIES are in a league all their own.
They show that my work made people think.
That it made them reevaluate what they knew and present it in a way they wanted to see come to fruition. This scene allowed for theories to finally come into GM and i’m so thankful it exists.
Once again, thank you for the ask! And i hope that answers your question. It was surprisingly difficult to try and pick one scene, so just had to pick two!

The boy nervously pushed up his glasses. “Sorry, uh, I…you know how guys are. Sometimes we just…have all that anger, and it’s just…gotta go somewhere, or, uh…”
