Dear Starlight,

Sunshine is fine and so is your bond with him.

His little flare ups are temporary, if intense, and as long as he's not further goaded, he tends to see his irrational reaction for what it is.

But please try not to give him further reason to anger, for your own safety.

You're adept at taking down animatronics, but his magic is nothing like you've ever seen before. Maybe gather some experience with magic first before venturing there.

He will likely contact you once he's done fuming about being interrupted and talked over, and not being able to pet Eclipse's pussycat.

It's a tantrum at best, friend.

His counterpart, Moon, did a number on his psyche and, together with the dark magic coursing his systems, it makes for a dangerous cocktail.

Not to worry though, I am working on the situation.

I'm educating myself in how to soothe his psyche, while also figuring out how to combine my own mechanical ability with external magic.

I'll never have my own, since I don't have a magical core... I am but a remnant of his Moon, after all.

I know I made Sun very upset. I would like to talk to him so I can understand why what I said made him so upset. But, only if you think they would be comfortable talking with me.

Did I really cross Sun’s boundaries that badly, Eclipse? Was it wrong for me to reprimand him like that? I know I tend to be unskilled when it comes to social interaction, but please believe I meant no ill-will towards him. He is basically the first friend I ever really made. He can drop the magic lessons if he wishes, I just don’t want to lose him as a friend. Or you, for that matter.

<Some time after Eclipse (Clip) secured Sun home, he deigned Eclipse with a reply>

To put it briefly, Sun had a mentor for his magic.

He had many a mentor, but the first and last, the one to awaken Sun's magic and the one to finalize his magical ascension, was a darker Sun from a different dimension.

A darker .. creature.. I am loathe to call it a Sun to begin with.

Sun was very taken with them and wouldn't heed my warnings about the sinister nature of its actions.

Then there was a brief period where I was separated from Sun... and Sun can't tell me what happened. It's as if his memories are locked behind an arcane spell of sorts, which I haven't been able to crack since I don't possess any magical affinity.

Something happened to Sun during that period, and a darkness started developing. I hadn't even noticed until.. the last decade or so.

Every few days I go out and about, collecting clues unto the whereabouts of this dark entity in hopes to reverse this or at least garner an explanation.

But there is the possibility that the entity itself gifted its sinister ability to Sun.. and perished.

I still must find some cure, because whatever dark energy looms inside my Sunlight is feeding off his traumatic experiences, amplifying them tenfold whenever he finds himself in certain untoward situations.

Sun, himself, wishes to weaponize this ability.

I just want my Sunshine safe...

I think it'd be best to just rebuild the entire building at this point. That thing is just one giant red flag of safety violations. And if they actually cared about safety they wouldn't need to put such exorbitant prices to pay for all their lawsuits or to shut people up.

It seems your primary element is metal, like mine is fire, but ofcourse we have a lot more to it than just that.

Your secondary element seems to be of a cosmic nature, relying heavily on defense, and stealth.

We'll have to practice and discover what shapes it can take, together.

I will start that again. Ahem. I was wondering, Sun, when you are feeling more rested would you be willing to please teach me magic? Eclipse, um the one that is your friend, recommended I learn some spells that could provide me with non-lethal means of defense and restraint. Just in case my code gets compromised, or anything along those lines.

And, I know it is silly and kind of frivolous but…  if you have time could you also teach me something like creating colored glowing sparkles…  or… something. like that…

It would just feel like the magic you see in story books and I would like to have. some. of that feeling… ah ha ha…

I think it'll go over better, especially if he's the erratic and nervous type.

It's.. important to talk to the Suns...

Either of the Eclipses can talk to the Moon side, probably. If he's hostile, he can be intimidated. If he's confused, he can be coaxed.

He.. he needs... he needs to learn to identify his triggers and get proper help for them. Management, whatever. Don't assume he can handle it... he's prone to rapid instability.
