Reading About Nonwhite Cultures And Their History Irritates Me Because They Made So Contributions That

Reading about nonwhite cultures and their history irritates me because they made so contributions that white people get credit for.

I was reading about a Persian Muslim scientist named Al-Tusi who wrote a book discussing about the concept of evolution DURING THE THIRTEENTH CENTURY. He discusses about evolution almost 600 years before Darwin and never had I heard about him until I decided to dive into the depths of the internet.

Pokemon headcanon that once Absol are studied and people realize they prevent disasters instead of causing them, particularly dangerous workplaces get themselves a workplace Absol and it also decreases accidents.

Construction sites and fishing ships and factories will have one that pretty much just lazes about until it just gets up howling one day and knocks a dude down. They almost never figure out what would have happened but they're always like "yes absol thank you absol I am so grateful to be on the floor right now. Can I offer you a treat in this trying time"

Little women (both the 2019 movie and the book) brilliantly capture very specific emotions and situations. These are some of my favorites:

That feeling you get when you start thinking about all the people you’ve turned down romantically because you knew you didn’t and could never love them but now… YOU’RE SO LONELY! so you torment yourself thinking you were stupid, too stubborn, too quick to say no, that maybe conforming wouldn’t be as bad as this growing, menacing loneliness.

That lost feeling of possibility. When you were young everything was exciting and fun and the future was unknown and full of infinite possibilities. You felt like your chest could burst at any minute from all that restless, blind hope. But now you’re older, and you LIVE in that future, and… there’s nothing in it. All you want to do is go back to a specific moment in which you were particularly happy, be held by it and stay there forever.

The painful truth that maybe you’re not as good at something as you thought you were. Realizing that you’re good at many things but you don’t particularly stand out in any of them. Maybe you’re just average and you have to make peace with it.

If you don’t dream or do things outside of your familiar environment, of what you know, of what you’re comfortable with; you’ll stay in the same place forever. And yes, maybe you tell yourself that that’s what you really want but… is it? or you’re just afraid to try something different?

Some people will pretend to want the best for you but the truth is, behind every “kindness” or “well meaned comment”, there’s malice and envy (@Meg’s friends). You have to stand up for yourself, be true to who you are and don’t spend energy trying to impress people who take joy in your misfortunes.

I've been watching the newest episode of Gen V (Episode 5) and at around the middle where Marie and Emma are talking about Jordan I started wondering what pronouns they use for them in the German version (my native language, but I prefer to watch movies and such in their original language) cause German is a horribly gendered language so I go back and rewatch the part in German and!! they're using the neopronouns dey/dem/deren which a lot of non-binary people in Germany started using as a German version of the gender neutral English pronouns they/them and!!!! my little non-binary heart can't take this, maybe we'll actually have accepted gender neutral pronouns in German one day!!!! this is such an important first step and it makes me so happy, omg I love this show :')

my roman empire is the subtle differences in appearance between jinx and (alternate universe) powder. powder is taller and has fuller cheeks compared to jinx because shes not malnourished. powder is tanner than jinx and has freckles because shes out in the sun more. powder's voice is deeper to signify that she has matured, while jinx's voice is high-pitched and raspy because of her constant screaming and the poor air quality in zaun. powder has prevalent smile lines, while jinx doesnt. the difference between jinx and powder is one night, one decision.
