π€ My Dragon Age Inquisition Modlist π€
Just in time for a last minute playthrough of DAI before Veilguard comes out! π
I would say this is a light modlist (less then 30 mods), vanilla friendly, and doesn't completely trivialize progression & combat (in regard to qual of life mods). The list is mostly CC improvements, armor additions or edits, and essential quality of life mods. And all of these mods are compatible with the DLCs (yes even Trespasser haha!)
I have only played as a female Dalish Elf so a couple mods are tailored to that :) Also, I added a link to the bottom of the list to the Free Cam tool I use for Inquisition!
I use the Frosty Mod Manager
The Modlist:
Favorite Hair Mods
Misc Hairstyles for Frosty Anto Hairstyles Hairstyle Day CaffeinePainter's NPC Hairstyles for Inquisitor
Other CC Improvements
SOS Brows on Fleek HD Eye Textures -> I also like: Eye Candy Textures Scalp Edit for Frosty (use if your hairstyle has prominent sideburns)
Armor & Clothing
Surcoat of the Tirashan - EF Outfit Elf Pajama Replacers Invisible Starting Armor (Frosty Compatible File) Flowery Outerwear Unique Wedding Dress for HF & EF The Core of Her Heart - A Morrigan Mod (Clothing Edit) Cullen of Ferelden (Armor retexture) Lady Ambassador - Josephine Outfit Inquisition Branded Finery -> I also like: Halamshiral Finery Remake 4k
Quality of Life Improvements
Party Banter Tweaks (I use the 2-5 min version) Faster Movement Speed (I use +50% for combat only) Shorter War Table Missions (I use -50%) Don't Break My Stride
Miscellaneous
Party at the Winter Palace DAI Frosty Texture Glitch Fixes Modded Hairs in DLCs Solas Halamshiral Hat & Neck Clipping Fix Dalish Glass New Painted Portraits by CaffeinePainter Stone-Stalker Blade Appearance Fix
DAI Free Cam: Otis Camera Tools
I place my CC mods at the top of my load order and my fixes and qual of life mods at the bottom so nothing overrides those essentials. I've ran this list with no crashes or infinite load screens :)
Remember to read mod descriptions & to download all mod requirements!! π€
Get to know my Shep π€ (Blank template under the cut.)
I loved the original template that cparrisart created but I wanted to make it a little more mass effect themed. They did state that they didnβt need credit if the template was heavily edited but Iβve added it anyway because their art is dope and you should check out their twitter.
This took me a while but Iβd love to do more in the future. I may make an edited version of this template with more specific character detail sections but for now, this brief one fits what I needed. Have fun!
The part of NC I'm from, people often live in passed down homes, and usually either don't have insurance, or the absolute cheapest insurance possible. Rural poverty is prevalent and can be really extreme.
Please support them if you can. I literally don't know what they're going to do.
appalachia is devastated. towns i loved, towns i visited all the time, are gone. not damaged, GONE. they are leveled to the ground. there is nothing left but rubble and ruin. people are dead. appalachia is poor to begin with and relies on tourism for a lot of its income, and multiple of those tourist locations are just...gone.
my town is okay, but it's flooded and wrecked. trees are blocking all but one way out of our neighborhood. power lines are hanging limp in the roads. we've been without power for over 24 hours and will continue to be without power for likely another 24+. disabled people and poor people are GOING to die from this. gods save appalachia.
Physical media is really awesome but please donβt discount sites like Bandcamp where you can buy DRM-free digital media. Buying raw media files lets you:
- Store a collection of millions of songs on a single hard drive (or burn them to CDs yourself!)
- Directly support artists, even those without the time/clout/resources to sell physical media
- With 20 minutes of effort, share your media library with anyone, anywhere, as much as you want.
Giant publishing companies are trying *really hard* to convince everyone that digital media is synonymous with you-donβt-own-shit streaming services, eternal subscription fees, and locked-down snoopscope video players. But thereβs a reason so many artists sell their works online without those catches. Go support them!
Hey everyone, I know it's going to be a busy day for a lot of people, but Google enrolled everyone over 18 into their AI program automatically.
If you have a google account, first go to gemini.google.com/extensions and turn everything off.
Then you need to go to myactivity.google.com/product/gemini and turn off all Gemini activity tracking. You do have to do them in that order to make sure it works.
Honestly, I'm not sure how long this will last, but this should keep Gemini off your projects for a bit.
I saw this over on bluesky and figured it would be good to spread on here. It only takes a few minutes to do.
In the wake of the TikTok ban and revival as a mouthpiece for fascist propaganda, as well as the downfall of Twitter and Facebook/Facebook-owned platforms to the same evils, I think now is a better time than ever to say LEARN HTML!!! FREE YOURSELVES FROM THE SHACKLES OF MAJOR SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS AND EMBRACE THE INDIE WEB!!!
You can host a website on Neocities for free as long as it's under 1GB (which is a LOT more than it sounds like let me tell you) but if that's not enough you can get 50GB of space (and a variety of other perks) for only $5 a month.
And if you can't/don't want to pay for the extra space, sites like File Garden and Catbox let you host files for free that you can easily link into NeoCities pages (I do this to host videos on mine!) (It also lets you share files NeoCities wouldn't let you upload for free anyways, this is how I upload the .zip files for my 3DS themes on my site.)
Don't know how to write HTML/CSS? No problem. W3schools is an invaluable resource with free lessons on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and a whole slew of other programming languages, both for web development and otherwise.
Want a more traditional social media experience? SpaceHey is a platform that mimics the experience of 2000s MySpace
Struggling to find independent web pages that cater to your interests via major search engines? I've got you covered. Marginalia and Wiby are search engines that specifically prioritize non-commercial content. Marginalia also has filters that let you search for more specific categories of website, like wikis, blogs, academia, forums, and vintage sites.
Maybe you wanna log off the modern internet landscape altogether and step back into the pre-social media web altogether, well, Protoweb lets you do just that. It's a proxy service for older browsers (or really just any browser that supports HTTP, but that's mostly old browsers now anyways) that lets you visit restored snapshots of vintage websites.
Protoweb has a lot of Geocities content archived, but if you're interested in that you can find even more old Geocities sites over on the Geocities Gallery
And really this is just general tip-of-the-iceberg stuff. If you dig a little deeper you can find loads more interesting stuff out there. The internet doesn't have to be a miserable place full of nothing but doomposting and targeted ads. The first step to making it less miserable is for YOU, yes YOU, to quit spending all your time on it looking at the handful of miserable websites big tech wants you to spend all your time on.
Hey you know what sucks is predatory companies that make you enter your email address so that they can harass and advertise to you to access resources you might need to keep track of expenses after a disaster. So, uh, fuck them.
If you need to track the cost of things like hotel stays, pet kenneling, medical care, etc. after a disaster you can use this worksheet.
If you need to create an inventory of your home for an insurance claim (and if you'd like to do this to keep someplace safe before a disaster) you can use this worksheet (two pages, instructions on the first page, worksheet on the second).
And here's a FEMA document with numbers for disaster relief groups and a checklist of documents that you may need to have replaced as well as a description of what to do if you had cash in your home that was destroyed and can possibly be replaced.
hello again (bill clinton limewire voice) my fellow americans
There are a few states that actually have Shield/Refuge laws designed to help trans people fleeing from trans-unsafe states, which also guarantee trans folks access to healthcare. These states are:
California
Colorado
Illinois
Oregon
Vermont
Washington
Minnesota
New Mexico
Maine
Massachusetts
Rhode Island
Connecticut
Washington D.C.
Additionally, some states have "trans sanctuary" executive orders signifying safety for trans folks seeking healthcare. These states are:
Maryland
New Jersey
New York
Living as a resident in these states means you are protected by state's rights and state government to continue or begin receiving trans healthcare. These laws have been codified in their states so everything has been a-ok'd by their state governments.
Stay alive. You got this. I love you.
