To all my followers, please please keep the people of Alberta and Fort McMurry in your thoughts and prayers (if you pray)
The situation isn’t getting any better. People’s homes are burning down. Saskatchewan is also at risk now.
Please keep my fellow Canadians in your thoughts.
Always.
There are stars in your dark side brighter than the sun.

I don’t follow the “respect is earned” philosophy. I respect everyone automatically and then each person has the opportunity to lose my respect based on their behavior.

Across the room And our eyes meet. A brief acknowledgement of indifference yet interest. What will we be? And we imagined us.
Imagine us. Ending up on neighbouring tables. Sharing a smirk at the teacher’s idiocy. Speaking words now. Glances still shared. Their meanings deep.
Imagine us. Ending up in the same group. Being stereotyped. Eyes still glancing your way. What will they see?
Imagine us. Background noise too high. Words too shallow. Now our eyes just saw. No emotions- all hollow.
Imagine us. When on an outing with ‘friends’, our fingers brushed quick. It sparked. We startled. A flicker of emotion. “NO”. Bury it all inside.
Imagine us. Frustrated and tired. Each glance draining. Every fake,“I’m fine” lacerating. Every stereotype biting in our skin.
Imagine us. Breaking free. Our hands entangled. Every emotion bare in our eyes.
Imagine us. The thirst now sated. A soft rolling ocean of light within. Us. Satisfied. And as I sat next to you, hands slightly brushing. You looked at me and smiled. Because for once we were home. So I went back to the start.
I imagined us.

The skies are still grey And the ground still frozen. But the distant scent of Morning dew perfuses Every breath. And the air no longer shreds My lungs from the inside.
