man, is it just me or the more responsible raph becomes in the series the more careless/dismissive leo gets? i find it wild how much common sense leo had in s1 when raph often liked to goof off and didn't take the whole Hero thing as seriously as after Beast Shredder but in s2 raph gets more serious about all of this, while leo's like- "oh am i finally done having the braincell? cool!" and just throws it at raph with fool force and almost never takes it back (and then the movie happens)

It has been hard for me to talk about how what is going on with Israel and Palestine is affecting me personally, but I grew up in Gaza and most of my family still lives there. My father did not survive the bombings last week and I have not been able to contact my younger sister in days. I am try to being understanding that most people do not have personal connections to what is happening and therefore are justifying their silence, but is heartbreaking to see this misinformation being spread. What’s happening there is a genocide, not a war. It is not antisemitic to support Palestine, it’s not even antiemetic to criticise Israel. There is no grey area or neutrality regarding this, and it is so easy to find resources that will educate you on the subject. It is my people and my home being destroyed so I will never be silent about this, but I please urge everyone to get informed and start speaking up and finding ways they can help.

I like to think that the turtles (any version really) all have an off switch, like what you see with cats. But more from how HTTYD did it, with Hiccup scratching a certain spot just under Toothless' jaw that made the dragon slump forward all happy and such. So imagine doing that with one of the turtles. You scratching under their chin similar to a cat, and the turtle happily leaning into your touches with soft churrs resonating from their throat. You go along the underside of their jaw and lightly pinch a certain point just along the curve point of the mandible- and suddenly the turtle's eyes widen. They make a funny noise, before slumping forward into your arms like their bones suddenly turned into jelly. Their pupils are blown, and suddenly the soft churrs they were making earlier were nothing to the jet engine sounds that were vibrating within their chest. Strong arms wrap around your waist, and the turtle is burying their head into your stomach- a happy chirp coming from them. You look down and see the dopiest grin on their face, they look almost drunk. You chuckle and pet their head lovingly. Storing away the newly acquired information for later. Once the turtle snaps out of it, they are beyond flustered about it.
Anyway, if you don't vote for Biden to Teach Him A Lesson and Trump wins, I'm sure all the thousands more Palestinians killed in Gaza when Trump gives Netanyahu full steam ahead and pulls all diplomatic support for a ceasefire/peace process, the Ukrainians and/or other Eastern Europeans likewise genocided when Trump gives Putin everything he wants and pulls out of NATO, the immigrants deported and put in concentration camps, the protesters detained en masse under the Insurrection Act, the women who die from being refused divorces and reproductive care, the LGBTQ+ people legislated and harassed out of public life, the people of color murdered by fully sanctioned white supremacy, and the societies around the world affected by America's collapse into a theocratic fascist dictatorship will definitely fall at your feet in thanks and give you the Gold Medal For Twitter Social Justice. So yknow, that's very important.

hi everyone, my dad and his siblings have been desperately trying to get my aunt and her whole family out of gaza. I’ve watched him have multiple breakdowns over seeing the conditions they’re living in. they haven’t seen each other in person in literal decades. my aunt’s home in gaza city was completely destroyed and her family have had to repeatedly flee from the devastation. they deserve a better life than this, her kids deserve a better future than this.

it's kinda comforting to me when my friends are a little annoying or longwinded or abrasive or tired and inarticulate, or they don't do the exact politest thing in every interaction, and stuff, because I know I'm sometimes annoying, or take up a more than my share of conversational space, or forget to ask them questions, etc etc, and... like, I'm always working to be nice to my friends and to get better and better at friend-ing, but it just makes me feel more human about it :}
