I had to think of flowers and of smiling faces and anything... big trucks filled with lumber, of birds, of Donna Donna Donna... good things only.

Questions I think to myself a lot when confronted with certain kinds of Online Posting:
Do you want a better world, or do you want revenge on those you think aren’t doing enough to improve it?
Do you want a more just world, or do you want to see bad people suffer merciless punishment?
Do you want a less oppressive world, or do you want the reins of power for yourself?
Do you want to do the right thing, or do you want to feel righteous?
"Grow up."

The pose in this one was based on Mark Pugh's painting named "Girl Fixated on the Black Spot of an Apple". He's an artist I've always admired so it's a bit of a tribute to his work :))

Bro absolutely COOKED with this.
EDIT: Y'all OOP is not whitewashing and brushing past the crimes of the fucking Taliban, they're simply pointing out that unlike the American elite- who have never suffered a day in their lives- terrorists like the Taliban usually go through some radicalizing event caused by poor life circumstances. That absolutely does not excuse or condone the horrible things they do, of course.
Also, Somali pirates and the Taliban were explicitly mentioned because this comment is in response to a couple of their former hostages saying said groups supplied them with soap and toothpaste, which the US government refuses to give to migrants. You can stop misinterpreting and derailing this post now, thanks.
Wendy Carlos pictured with the Moog System 55 a staple in her solo projects and iconic film scores, including for Stanley Kubrick’s ‘A Clockwork Orange’ (1972)
One of electronic music’s most important figures, Wendy Carlos is a true pioneer of the craft with countless influential albums and scores. She provided technical advice and insights to Robert Moog during the development of the Moog Synthesizer, an instrument that would revolutionize the music landscape. Her album ‘Sonic Seasonings’ (1972) is an early example of an ambient record, blending the then-new synth with field recordings to create an entirely new listening experience — years before the term “ambient” was even coined!
