I had a dream last night where Blue adopted a kid that he found lost out in the woods that turns out to have a whole bunch of shadow powers and magic and stuff and he’s like “huh, that’s weird. Did I adopt a reborn Shadow???” (Cause the kids appearance and age line up with when Shadow died)

And he spends a little while getting used to having this kid in his house and trying to introduce the other Links to him but they never have time.

He even named the kid… I forget the actual name but it translates to “shadow” or “little dreamer” or something. Cause he does recognize he’s a different person even if he is raising him with Shadow in mind on a lot of this stuff.

He even goes to one of those new parents things (kid’s like… 6-or-7 but still) to learn how tf he’s supposed to parent, and asks his father (who is hella suspicious but happy to talk about it) for advice.

Then Shadow is successfully brought back by Vio and Vio finally goes over to visit Blue like “hey sorry this is why I was so busy but Shadow’s back.” and Blue’s just like “…what?”

And then Vio and Shadow are both like “what why do you have a demon toddler in your home.” And blue’s like “fuck you that is my son.” And they’re both like “w h a t.”

And it was really cute and yeah :)

Something something Apollo and Meg get trapped in her mental space and she gets overwhelmed by her father's death all over again. Suddenly in the mind space, black grief water begins to flood in. Meg is frozen. Apollo struggling desperately to keep Meg above the water as he tries to tell her not to give up swimming, while drowning himself cause he's under lifting Meg up. Him yelling and sputtering over the waves that she has to keep swimming, and that he knows the loss feels endless, and like the end of everything, but to trust him when he says it can get better.

Him slowly starting to black out as he drinks in more dark fluid than air. Admist the darkness he sees flashes of his own grief filled memories, and he wants to give up, but he refuses, because even if he's not worth it, Meg is, she needs to live.

Something something Meg recovering from the shock and pulling him up as well.

Then the water drains away and then they wake up.

Keep the flame going for those we have lost to suicide.

I watched it when I was a kid, and loved it, that movie paired with the book series "guardians of childhood" made up a big part of my childhood.

I even made an OC that could travel between the two worlds, can't for the life of me remember her name though.

A year's worth of progress! Instead of doing a straightforward redraw I decided to improve upon the original concept by drawing sequences instead of singular poses. I don't enjoy redrawing old work beat for beat, so this reflects my current skills more effectively and also does the concept better justice than what I was capable of last year!
