I like to think that Severus Snape has/had the most chaotic dramatic drama filled life growing up.
Like running from the police, stealing from corporate company’s, spray painting the streets, sneaking out, fights, drugs🍃, etc.
Like they could make a reality tv show of his life growing up and the shit he got into and everyone would watch it and be so surprised because he seemed so calm and collected and secretive as a teacher but in reality he was just a punk little shit.
anthony "acts of service" crowley forced to do words of affirmation and he looks like he's about to have a heart attack the whole time
thinking about how Johnny and Alex met at a shitty night job and decided a few years later to write an audio drama that literally changed the lives of thousands of people. how Harlan was literally unemployed when he decided to start making malevolent, and now he's singlehandedly revolutionizing the audio drama landscape. or Zach Valenti and Gabriel Urbina being long-time college friends who wanted to make something fun with no expectation that over 20 million people would listen to it....not being hyperbolic at all when I say that some of the best pieces of audio fiction have been made in basements by teams of less than 3 people. wtnv has always been a few friends who wanted to make something interesting after their day job. i am just thinking of artists persevering under the crushing weight of capitalism. .. and great art made out of pure love and curiosity for an emerging medium...
Heatwave 🥵 This years Hawkins summer is especially hot.

Nile slid up to the table across from Nicky, palms smacking the wood loudly as she leaned forward. “So, Christmas.”
Nicky didn’t even look up from his work. “You’ll have more fun with Andy.”
“Andy?” Nile asked dubiously.
“Mhm.”
“The Andy who scoffs at organized religion because she used to be worshipped as a god, that Andy?”
“The very same.”
“Not that I think you’re lying but you understand why I’m skeptical, right?”
Nicky took a breath and looked up at her, leaning on one elbow. “Andy is a pragmatic hedonist who’s spent lifetimes in the far north—midwinter and solstice celebrations of all sorts are burned into her soul as times for hot food, strong drink, and good company kept around the fire. I, meanwhile, am semi-lapsed medieval clergy with a bone to pick with God.”
Nile blinked a couple times. “…point taken. How’s Booker?”
“Depressed but readily motivated by mulled wine and fonder of festive chintz than he likes to let on.”
“Cool, thanks.”
I love the idea that everyone who meets them assumes Nicky is the calming force for Joe, who can come across hot-headed.
But Joe more readily shows his anger because he has a healthier relationship with it. He knows how to let it out in bursts, how to feel anger and not let it consume him. We have it confirmed in Tales Through Time — Joe knows how to process anger and let go of vengeance in a way that Nicky struggles with.
Nicky may overflow with a kindness the world is not worthy of, but when he sees a terrible injustice? When something pushes him over the edge? He’s the scariest and deadliest motherfucker of the entire team, no question.
Joe is the real calming force in their relationship. God help anyone who incites Nicky’s wrath when Joe isn’t there to pull him back.
Severus getting a prep cook job in Cokeworth one summer and picking up solid mf knife skills. Like those culinary school chopping videos. Just fast asf precise knife work and handling.
He gets back to Hogwarts and it’s just business as usual until he’s DEAD tired one day and is prepping ingredients in Slughorn’s class. He gets to something that needs to be sliced uniformly and is similar in shape/size to food he prepped at the restaurant and muscle memory just kicks into overdrive.
The whole classroom freezes and looks at him because idk if y’all know this but that shit is LOUD compared to hesitant knife work. It smacks the cutting board and has a way different rhythm than normal kitchen noise.
Yeah it’s a skill no one has encountered unless they have been back of house at a restaurant.
Severus is too exhausted to process that anyone is paying attention to him so he just keeps going. Ingredients? Prepped? Potion? Brewed with gusto, like he was born to do it. His brain isn’t online so he’s acting like it’s a dream and adds in some flourish and flair, a trick to catch a knife, a fancy stir to help aerate the brew, a crazy amount of multitasking just because he can.
Jaw dropping behavior.
Slughorn doesn’t know how to react honestly, and is spared needing to praise him considering Severus is half awake when he hands his potion to his head of house.
"Stop saying 15 year olds with weird interests are cringe, they're 15" this is true however you should also stop saying adults with weird interests are cringe because who gives a shit
made a flowchart for some of the most underrated podcasts in my favorites list (you want to listen to all of these you want to listen to all of them sooo bad)
The difference between Hikaru and Kaoru,
Is that, if you put your hand over their mouth to quiet them, Kaoru would lick your hand out of defiance, and Hikaru would bite you.
